At this time last year, you may have come to Basse-Bodeux to discover the spectacle offered by the RC Scale Helidays, an international meeting reserved for model helicopters, organized on the initiative of Francis Paduwat; it was celebrating its tenth anniversary in the superb flying environment offered by the MCBB club located in the Ardennes in the Trois-Ponts region.

The hillside setting is particularly well-suited to helicopter flying, and many of our pilots are happy to play around with the slopes. What a pleasure it is to see the machines flying below the horizon!

The weekend's weather was perfect, with blue skies and sunshine and a steady wind that was sometimes a little treacherous because of its coolness. The MCBB members managed the stewardship and organization brilliantly, and everything was in place to make this event a success.

Numerous pilots from Germany, Austria, Spain, France, Great Britain, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, a few Belgian pilots and also an American and a New Zealander.

Many thanks to Francis for supporting and increasing the appeal of this unique event with its world-renowned reputation. The range of machines is truly impressive in number and quality, as are the in-flight displays, non-stop from early morning until late evening; a feast for the eyes and the dreams. We only regret that this event is not open to the public !

Peut-être êtes-vous venu l'année dernière, à cette même époque, à Basse-Bodeux découvrir le spectacle offert par le RC Scale Helidays, une rencontre internationale réservée aux maquettes d'hélicoptère, organisée à l'initiative de Francis Paduwat; elle fêtait alors son dixième anniversaire dans le superbe cadre de vol qu'offre le club MCBB situé en Ardennes dans la région de Trois-Ponts.

Un cadre de vol, à flanc de colline, qui convient tout particulièrement à l'évolution d'hélicoptères; bon nombre de pilotes ne se privent pas de jouer avec ses dénivelés; quel plaisir de voir les machines évoluer sous l'horizon !

La météo du week-end est au beau fixe, plein ciel bleu et soleil avec un vent soutenu parfois un peu traître par sa fraicheur; une intendance et une organisation gérées avec brio par les membres du MCBB; tout était réuni pour faire de cette rencontre un succès.

Merci à Francis de soutenir et d'accroître au fil des années l'attractivité de cet événement unique en son genre à la réputation mondialement reconnue. Le panel des machines est vraiment impressionnant en nombre et en qualité tout comme le sont les présentations en vol, ininterrompues dès le matin jusqu'à tard en soirée; un régal pour les yeux, pour les rêves. Peut-on juste regretter que cet événement ne soit pas public !

De nombreux pilotes venant d'Allemagne, d'Autriche, d'Espagne, de France, de Grande-Bretagne, d'Italie, des Pays-Bas, de Suisse, quelques pilotes belges et aussi un américain et un néo-zélandais.
