Here's a subject at least as thorny as that of centering, and in fact even more complex. Yet you've probably heard or read that all you have to do is set the stab at 0° and the wing between +1 and +2° (relative to what?) and you'll be flying every time. Right up until the moment when, just as with the one-third centering, it doesn't work!

I suggest you follow the same approach as in the article on centering (AAModels 2022/1 - pages 18 to 31), by first unravelling commonplaces and other beliefs, then building a logical construction that allows you to grasp the nuts and bolts, and finally finishing with a few simplified calculations accompanied by practical examples.

Voici un sujet au moins aussi épineux que celui du centrage, et en réalité encore plus complexe. Pourtant, vous avez certainement déjà entendu ou lu qu’il suffit de caler le stab à 0° et l’aile entre +1 et +2° (par rapport à quoi ?) pour que ça vole à tous les coups. Jusqu’au moment où, exactement comme pour le centrage au tiers, ça ne fonctionne pas !

Je vous propose de suivre la même démarche que dans l’article sur le centrage (AAModels 2022/1 - pages 18 à 31), en détricotant tout d’abord les lieux communs et autres croyances, puis en bâtissant une construction logique qui permet d’appréhender les rouages, pour enfin terminer par quelques calculs simplifiés assortis d’exemples pratiques.
