Completed 14 new GreenBuilt NC Habitat houses and 33 Home Repair projects in Buncombe County, and served 14 families internationally through our tithe program. In total, we provided another 61 families with safe, decent housing. Our Carney Place subdivision in West Asheville won a 2014 Housing North for its design, sustainability, contribution to the local community, and special features. The ReStore

Asheville Area Habitat received Habitat for Humanity International’s Malachi 3:10 Award for surpassing the $500,000 milestone in the tithe program. For every house we build locally, we tithe to build a house in one of these five countries: Bangladesh, Egypt, Guatemala, Haiti and Malawi. ReStore was voted #1

Used Furniture Store in Western North Carolina by Mountain Xpress readers.

More than 2,000 volunteers contributed more than 64,000 hours of service! W&S Charitable Foundation donated a record-breaking $500,000! (Proceeds from the 2013 Warren Haynes Presents: The Annual Christmas Jam.)

Completed a 17-house subdivision in the Beacon Mill area of Swannanoa.

Started building Hudson Hills in West Asheville, future site of 25 new Habitat houses.

Completed the nation’s first Habitat house built in honor of Pope Francis, in Shiloh.
