SILVER MEDAL AWARD

On behalf of the American Advertising Federation of Toledo, I want to congratulate each one of the 2022 American Advertising Award winners and entrants! We are honored to recognize and showcase northwest Ohio’s creative talent in a variety of advertising, marketing, and public relations categories.

In mid-January, we received 121 professional and 20 student entries from agencies, businesses, and individuals throughout the Toledo area. Due to our virtual competition, we were able to invite judges from outside of our surrounding area to evaluate each entry. Thank you to Brenda Cortes, Producer at The Distillery Project located in Chicago, Illinois; Marshall Shorts, Principal Consultant at Artfluential located in Columbus, Ohio; and John Topacio, Group Copy Supervisor at Evoke Giant located in Seattle, Washington. We greatly appreciate the time they took evaluating each entry.

This award recognizes Kim’s outstanding contributions to the community while further advancing the industry’s standards, creative excellence, and responsibility in areas of social concern. Kim will join a remarkable group of Silver Medal Award winners that represent the Toledo creative and advertising community.

An additional congratulations goes out to our Mosaic Award winners: Tisha Mays, Mosaic Educator award

Graphics did all the printing for the event and Ashley Vetter Design put together the remarkable creative. This year’s show wouldn’t have been possible without the support from all of you!

Speaking of support, I’d like to shout out students from Penta Career Center and instructor Russ Grycza, who took over producing the show this year. Corey Channell was exceptional in shooting and putting it all together with assistance from fellow classmates Carsyn Tussing, Olivia Willis and Em Brook, along with AAF Toledo board member Spencer LeGros.

The competition doesn’t end tonight! The Toledo American Advertising Awards are just the first phase of a three tier, national competition. All of this year’s Gold winning entries will compete in one of 15 district competitions. The District American Advertising Award winners will then move on to the third and final tier of the competition—the national American Advertising Awards! Good luck to all of the Gold award winners who will be moving on to the next phase!
