Mobile learning offers personal, portable, collaborative, interactive, contextual learning for the 21st century and holds the potential to educate those who have not had access to educational opportunities globally. This session will present results from a study that identified factors that influenced the adoption of mobile learning by Family and Consumer Sciences educators across the globe and their current use of mobile learning.

Across the country, Extension Services have applied technology as a teaching mechanism to bring specialized information to clientele. Within the framework of each State Extension Services, technology is utilized differently. eXtension, as a national entity has provided opportunity to work with clientele through FCS and other agents to meet clientele needs.

Eric is a Senior Fellow and Thought Leader on Digital Leadership with the International Center for Leadership in Education (ICLE) and Scholastic Achievement Partners (SAP). His work focuses on leading and learning in the digital age as a model for moving schools and districts forward. This has led to the formation of the Pillars of Digital Leadership, a framework for all educators to initiate sustainable change to transform school cultures. His main focus is the use of social media and web 2.0 technology as tools to facilitate student learning, improve communications with stakeholders, enhance public relations, create a positive brand presence, discover opportunity, transform learning spaces, and help educators grow professionally. 12:00-1:15pm Ticketed Luncheon*: Learning from the 2015 AAFCS Teacher of the Year During the session the 2015 AAFCS Teacher of the Year will present on their program. His latest book, Improving Employee Benefits, shows HR practitioners how they can use behavioral economics to help employees to take action on their benefits. Steve is also the founder of the Action Design Network, a non-profit organization which teaches members how use behavioral economics and psychology in product design. The network hosts over 2500 behavioral practitioners at events around the country, including the annual Design for Action Conference. He holds a BA from U.C. Berkeley, a Master’s from Johns Hopkins-SAIS, and a PhD from the University of Maryland, where he analyzed the dynamics of behavioral change over time. 2:00pm-2:50pm
