THE TERRITORY malfi is on the Amalfi coast, on the southern coast of the Sorrento Peninsula; its today’s economy is primarily based on tourism, with an accommodation patrimony constituted by known historical hotels and comfortable modern hotels. Characteristic houses clinging to the rock and characteristic little streets, in a plan of arches, blind alleys and ancient towers built to defend the coast from the barbaric attacks. The usually pleasant and mild climate, the artistic and architectural value of the monuments, the indescribable beauty of the landscape, and the folklore of the traditions make it an incomparable place. Renato Fucini once said “for the people from Amalfi that will one day go to Heaven, it will be just one day like the others.”
