MASS MEDIA INSTITUTE Nagpur,Maharastra Site Area- 18,000 sq.m

The semester called for The Institute of Mass Media located. The design is inspired by the traditional Indian Gurukul concept where maximum indoor and the outdoor connection is maintained. The proposal indulges green pockets in between with a wide spread of areas around tackling the hot climate of Nagpur.


CONCEPT

Site plan The proposal intends to give users a similar feeling of GURUKUL like that as earlier the students were taught by one Guru sitting under a tree.

The areas are planned like that of the temple with transition spaces throughout the entrance (gopuram), between the gathering spaces (ardh mandapa) , classes (mandapa) and the library (garbhagriha).

Moving ahead on this path of circulation (from entrance) eventually leads silent zone(the library) Widespread of spaces

To tackle the problems of heat gain,air and noise pollution and privacy ,different materialized jali at the southern side was given a thought of.

Terracotta jalli has been provided in order to reduce heat gain from southern side incorporating Ventury weffect. Provision of jallis not only help to in reduction of inside temperature but also helps in minimalising the outside noise and filters the air whilst allowing the privacy.

WILDLIFE RESORT Jim Corbett wildlife Sanctuary, UTTARAKHAND

Site Area- 11,300 sq.m

A wildlife resort near Jim Corbet wildlife sanctuary. A site is facing towards west Some part of land is gently sloping with an access road on the east. A small stream divides the site, so there is a small part of land beyond the stream. The surrounding, the greenery of vegetation,the chilling cold, the sound of movingwater, the clear blue skies, the tranquility of wilderness of the mountains and valleys, spirit of adventure and theNon-commercial peaceful aspect makes thisresort Special.

One who enters the resort first gets the view of stream and trees feel welcome in nature

SITE STUDY Overall built form is designed in such a way that wind will pass through water stream and cool breeze will move through structure.

Most of the area is coverd by trees and green space for fresh air and giving the feeling of wildlife

Stream in the site gives relax experience and keeps surrounding cool

Roofing covers max area in case of rainfall and helps in rainwater harvesting

STAIRCASE VIEW AND CONNECTIVITY There are total five staircase to the structure of which 4 provides stream view

Solar plates acts as a pergolas for two reasons 1 . for solar function and lating sun light in 2 . for directing the wind inside the structure as wind direction is from SW to NE 3, water body at center is for fresh air and aesthetic purpose

I wanted to build the resort which gives the life time exprience in which everone is connected to the nature. concept is focus on the visual nature connectivity were one can spending is half of the time in resort just watching nature views

It is important for the Army community to stay together in a campus which provides thoughtful and customised housing for the soldiers according to their ranks and needs. NDA khadakwasla, is a area near to the NDA area of pune, and the site chosen is in the vicinity of all the privleged services provided for the army community by the army community. The vicinity includes army hospital, NDA academy and a serene green area in quieter parts of Pune.


CONCEPT

i wanted to create a socity were all can interact with with each other to make healthy bonds with each otherso , i thought of focus on structural strategy to create friendly surrounding where peoples can interact to each other

Site analysis By creating all the housing at the border i created a space for interaction and as the wind direactions are from west to east i created pathway for wind to enter the structure and also peoples leving on building can have outer as well as inner view multiple waterbody keeps surrounding cool

Club house acts as a hart of the site. it is plased in the center of the site and all activites takes place around club house so every person in the building can keep an aye on there family members
