IN-DEPTH DISCOVERY & CUSTOMIZATION

The inspiration for a Slifer Designs home comes from you. Your story deserves to be told, and your home should be telling it. Before we start designing, we take our time to learn as much as we can about who you are and what you want. Once we know your story and your vision, we use it as inspiration in our creative process. With vendor relationships that span more than three decades and a spectacularly deep knowledge base, Slifer Designs can source one-of-a-kind custom pieces to fit your style, whether it be traditional, modern, minimalist, mountain rustic, or anything in-between. We believe that since no two people are the same, no two designs should be.

02

35 YEARS OF REVOLUTIONIZING THE INDUSTRY

Slifer Designs changed how people view resort design globally, yet our focus has never left our home of Vail, Colorado. Our company was started 35 years ago, when Vail wasn’t the luxury destination it is today. But Beth Slifer had a vision for what Vail could become, and she led the charge not just in shaping Vail’s appearance but in turning the town into the international leader for resort interior design. Today, we further her artistic vision by applying that same groundbreaking, innovative thinking to each and every design we create. We changed Vail by making it look like no other resort town on Earth–let us do the same for your home.

03

STREAMLINED CLIENT EXPERIENCE

We know your life is busy, so we’ve taken every step to make our own process as streamlined and turnkey as possible. All projects have the benefit of a team of creative and business services professionals, ensuring that each step along the way runs smoothly. Plus, Slifer Designs owns its 20,000-squarefoot warehouse with a dedicated white-glove installation team, which allows for unprecedented oversight, quality control, and efficiency through the design process. You can be confident that all aspects of your design—from purchasing to installation—will be handled by Slifer Designs professionals, and that we’ll take care of all the details so you can enjoy your new home.

04

FEMALE DRIVEN

Beth Slifer started Slifer Designs in 1984 when a woman going into independent business ownership wasn’t commonplace. She had the vision and drive to build her company over three decades from a simple onewoman operation to a nationally acclaimed interior design firm. Along the way she never lost sight of her trailblazing origins and today, Slifer Designs continues to develop and inspire a new generation of female professionals by creating rewarding career opportunities and leadership positions for women. We pride ourselves in leading the industry in design experience, professionalism, and teamwork with a workforce that is 90 percent female.

VALUES LED

From day one, we have been deeply committed to giving back to our community. The Slifer Designs team holds ourselves to the highest standards in the industry, which includes sharing our time, money, and experience to help better the lives of those around us. We dedicate our time through pro-bono work, and donate to numerous charities and organizations each year. We support the issues that are core to our ethos: wellbeing for women and children, physical and behavioral health, and providing safe harbor and affordable housing to those in need. Above all, we rely on personal and professional integrity—with our colleagues, our clients, and our community.

1. What is your vision for your home?

- What do you already love (and dislike) about your home?

2. How do you wish to use the space?

- Are you trying to create a sanctuary, escape, or a place to

entertain family and friends?

- When will the home be used (i.e. year-round, winter season)?

- What activities do you pursue—are you skiers, hikers, golfers—

and do you need storage space for equipment? 3. Do you have ideas about style?

- Review digital portfolio with Designer to discover what you are drawn to and/or dislike. - Do you prefer solid colors or printed fabrics; florals or

geometrics? 4. Do you have ideas about color?

- Are there any items that you own, or have seen, that you want

to serve as your color inspiration?

- Are there colors that you strongly dislike or want to steer clear of?

5. Do you have established pricing guidelines?

- What is the cost range that you want your project to fall within?

- Do you already have a specific monetary amount in mind?

6. What is your timeframe for the project?

- Is there a specific contractor you want involved in the project?

- Do you have construction or personal deadlines?

- Would you want the project to be done in phases, or all at once?

Making Selections Creating your own Pinterest Moodboard can be extremely beneficial when communicating with your designer and is highly recommended. Doing a quick search with keywords such as Interior Design, Living Room, Bedroom, Kitchen, Decor, Modern, and Monochromatic can quickly get you in the direction of what you’re envisioning and your designer can easily refer back to your board during the selection phase.

Clean/ Bright PROJECT DETAILS LOCATION: Cordillera, CO DATE COMPLETED: 2018 ATTRIBUTES: Western / Cozy This large-scale remodel is a contemporary house that feels at once rustic and modern, with a western vibe. The home blends with the natural habitat, inside and out. Any home should be welcoming: the dining room is the heart of this home. The lower level is light and airy, thanks to an interesting design with the reclaimed wood from bourbon oak barrels. The elevated western theme continues with whimsical, well thought out touches.

We begin each project with an in-depth discovery process aimed at guiding your vision into a tangible design framework. During this step, we seek to learn more about you, your budget, and your dreams for your home. We draw inspiration from your story and weave it into the design, to make sure that the finished product is as original as you.

Using the knowledge we gained from our discovery process, we get to work planning out how to make your dream space a reality. The Slifer Designs design team starts by creating a lookbook that includes furnishings, textiles, lighting, fixed finishes, and art. Communication, planning, and designing continues as adjustments are made according to your exact desires.

Once all selections have been made, it’s time to place orders and make your plan come to life. Often the furnishings, and even the flooring, are custommade. We work closely with our vendors, and make on-site visits with the contractors to ensure the project exceeds expectations.

Our White-Glove Professionals receive, inspect and install each piece that makes its way into your home. This final step promises that the finished design matches your vision and exceeds all expectations. So you can begin making memories and living comfortably.
