PRINTMAKING: This introductory class will show you a whole range of printing techniques that can be used on their own or in combination to create unique artwork. Over 6 weeks, you’ll be introduced to the studio’s equipment and materials and learn techniques such as block printing with linoleum, collograph (a low-relief intaglio technique) and monoprinting. WHEEL THROWING: This class is an introduction to clay, pottery and the ceramics studio. Students will work primarily on the potter’s wheel, learning basic throwing and forming techniques while creating functional pieces such as mugs, cups and bowls. THROWING SETS: In this 4-week class, students will be guided through the process of creating wheel-thrown sets. Topics will include making multiples of the same piece, stacking mugs and nesting bowls, and serving sets specific to a type of food or beverage, such as a sake bottle with matching cups or a coffee
