Flexible hours up to 30 hours per week, $19 per hour.

VERMONT LEAGUE OF CITIES AND TOWNS This is a unique opportunity to become Executive Director of a highly respected state municipal association located in the Green Mountains of Vermont. The VLCT Board of Directors is seeking a dynamic leader to assist the Board in developing and achieving its vision for the future of Vermont local government and the role VLCT will play in achieving that vision. Founded in 1967, the Vermont League of Cities and Towns is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that serves Vermont's municipalities and officials. VLCT employs a staff of 50 and has an annual operating budget of $6.6 million. The League provides: · Educational workshops and consulting advice for municipal officials so that they can deliver excellent service to their communities · Information for the public so that it can better understand local government · Support for legislation that strengthens local government · Comprehensive insurance coverage for municipalities. Requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in public administration, political science, association management or related field. A master’s degree or work on a comparable postgraduate degree is preferred. Ten years of association or municipal management as a chief executive officer or similar position is highly desired.
