Opening of Esther Penn in Alamo Heights
Kacey Cargile and Alyson Johnson are excited to be opening their third Esther Penn location. After founding their first location in Fort Worth in 2014, and then Dallas a little over a year later, they felt Alamo Heights was the perfect spot to open their third location. They have combined the best of their Texas and California heritages into a casual, welcoming and fun shopping experience. Carefully curated and sourced from L.A., each item you find at Esther Penn is unique and hand-picked with you in mind. The entire process should feel like shopping in a girlfriend's closet, making you comfortable and inspired, and leaving you ready to come back the next week to see what’s new. 44 | May 2018

A Wizard of Oz Themed Opening for Frosted Home on Broadway
Kelley Frost has been busier than ever since her children left the nest for college and beyond. Not only has she obtained her Ph.D. and opened a counseling office, she also officially opened a unique and creative home décor retail store at 5800 Broadway, Suite 101. Frosted Home has been a dream since childhood and is now a place where shoppers can find custom furniture, lighting, and original art discovered by Kelley in many different corners of the world. March 29 was the date for a huge grand opening celebration with a Wizard of Oz theme. The ruby slippers adorned party invitations and cookies celebrated a girl from Kansas who followed her dream. With every purchase, Frosted Home donates 10 percent of net profits to causes that support mental health.
