2012 was perilous because people ignored prophesies –Primate Ayodele RICHARD EGHAGHE

igerian top seer and founder of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Ministry, OkeAfa, Lagos, Primate Babatunde Elijah Ayodele, has described the outgoing year, 2012, as ‘a blood thirsty year.’ Speaking over the weekend, while giving a spiritual insight into some major events to watch out for in the New Year, 2013, at the local and international arena, the prophet remarked that he was vindicated for all the predictions he gave concerning the receding 2012. Reviewing the outgoing year in an exclusive interview with Sunday Mirror at his international headquarters in Oke-Afa, the popularly acclaimed ‘Nostradamus of Christendom’, lamented that it was so sad for the nation in 2012. “We recorded a lot of bloodshed. It was so sad for Christians and many innocent citizens of this country. It was so sad for pastors to be buying jet of about N4 billion when people cannot afford three-square meals a day, and when many don’t have roofs over their heads. “As per the nation, giving is a problem. Those who have didn’t want to give out. Only few pastors and men of God gave. I use everything I have to make sure that people smile. I stop my own children from school to pay the school fees of widowed children and orphans. “Now, I have a lot of children in the universities, notwithstanding the fact that people try to pay you back in bad coin after giving them help or support,” the cleric remarked. He said he was never deterred as he continued to assist the less-privileged. “Generally, people don’t want to help anybody, unless you are resourceful to that person. Churches don’t even care enough these days. Pastors want to be everywhere, so, they want to be very, very, rich. There is gross corruption in the country and the country is not doing well. As children of God, we are focused with what we are doing here.” Speaking on how well he fared with his prophecies during the year, Prophet Ayodele, who capped his prophecies in the year with the prediction of the recent Navy helicopter crash in Nembe, Bayelsa State, gave the glory to God saying, “Predictions come as God directs and it is for those that God loves He speaks through.” He clarified further: “Whoever that God loves, He tells precisely what and what will come up. It

IN THE COUNTRY AND THE COUNTRY IS NOT DOING WELL

is now left for you to take to it if the thing is important to you or reject it, if it is not important to you. The thing is that we need to take the word of God seriously. As a leader, you don’t need to say ‘until this Prophet says it…’, before you do it. If you are a leader, any word that comes from any prophet or man of

God, take it and work with it. It doesn’t take more than prayers to avert any harmful or deadly predictions. But the kind of prayer and prayer points to be made, matters. That is where the prophet needs to be consulted, as he is important to the wellbeing of the society.” Quoting from the scripture,

the INRI spiritual leader recalled, “The holy book says, ‘my people perish for lack of knowledge’. So, anyone who dies for lack of knowledge is only ignorant”. He further pointed out that “many people are ignorant of God’s words and some pastors cannot see. That is one of the problems we are facing in Christendom. In time to come, you will see that churches will start fighting each other.” On Christianity and the umbrella body, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Primate Ayodele noted, “The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), does not seem to have good leaders. The so-called leaders are self centered. They are too ambitious of worldly things. Pastors no longer preach what is in the Bible. The focus now is how many jets am I going to buy, how many schools am I going to build? “And as you can see, most of the people going to that particular church cannot afford to pay the fee of such schools built in the name of the church, which is bad enough. “CAN has in fact, become like a political party where one person occupies two positions; yet prominent pastors that people look up to as fathers are doing nothing about it. That makes Christian leadership in the country to lose its respect. The leaders are now after worldly things: they want to build houses where politicians are building, and even want to build houses under the sea. There is none of these big pastors that is not money conscious. They are all after money, all of them. I have every reason to believe that it is because of money and popularity, that one person is occupying two positions in CAN now. It has never happened before. If people are conscious of the bread of the spirit, they will know the actual thing to do. “We are doing miracle because of money. Miracle happens in our church every day. I am saying this with series of references. It is not happening because of money but to proclaim God’s glory. The big churches will tell you that they have done

this, they have done that and when the people go there, they find nothing; that is why you see people going from one church to another. You see, revolution is coming to the church but I don’t know when. Churches will be fighting each other and be taking each other to court. Highlighting some of his prophecies that came to pass during the year, the seer travelled down memory lane to recollect: “I came out with a prophecy for Wale Babalakin to pray to avert litigation. Did he pray? He may have taken it for granted because there are prayers and there are people who pray and there are prayer warriors. Putting a prophecy in the newspaper is a serious matter. It is left for whoever concerned to pray or ignore it. It all depends on how the prophecy is handled or looked at. When a prophet says ‘pray so that you don’t cry’, it is a serious matter. “Now take my prophecy for the President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan; was it taken seriously? “I prophesy to the President to pray seriously to prevent anything that will make him shed tears. What happened next? He lost a beloved brother. The so-called pastors might say ‘don’t listen to the prophecy, we will work against it.’ Maybe they would not pray as expected because when the Lord speaks through His prophet, He will always proffer the solution to the prophecies that ‘my son, this is what and what should be done to avert it’. Then the ideal thing is for you to call the prophet who gave the prophecy to ask what to do to stop it. He will tell you. Then you will go and do it on your own or in your own way, in your own interest”. He cautioned that there are people who are not prophets but claim to be prophets while citing another case of his correct prediction on the Ghanaian election. “They cannot see beyond their nose. You have to be careful about them. Look at the Ghanaian president’s reelection, we said it; that he is going to be re-elected and even went on television to prophesy it in our programme of December 1, 2012.
