Snakes invade Plateau communities, bite 50 in 2 weeks

nakes washed by flood into Kanke, Kanam and other communities in Plateau have bitten more than 50 people in the last two weeks, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), reports. Rep. Timothy Golu, representative of the area at the National Assembly, confirmed the development to NAN in Jos after visiting the victims. Golu said that some had died while others in critical conditions were on admission in various hospitals and traditional snake treating homes. ogi State government has disclosed that it had trained over 4, 000 women and youths on cassava products processing to meet international standards. The Special Adviser to the state governor on Women and Youth development, Dr (Mrs) Temitope Sinkaiye who made this known while speaking in a chat journalists in Lokoja at weekend, stated that 1, 500 of the trainees had successfully keyed into the government cassava value chain development programme.
