to Rheged’s Food, Fairs, Film and Exhibitions programme. As the nights draw in and the live streaming of ballet, theatre and opera returns to Rheged, so too does the wealth of fairs and festivals which focus around food, art, craft and antiques. This is the time of year when outdoor adventure films and talks are a key part of our evening programme, and new for this year is the Brit Rock Film Tour by Alistair Lee and a caving evening. Our daytime cinema programme includes two new 3D films, Pandas: Back to the Wild and D-Day 1944. The latter is part of a programme of lectures and films which run alongside our main gallery exhibition for the autumn - The Art of Remembering, which asks about our emotional connection with the First World War in a new contemporary art exhibition by 12 British artists. Finally this season celebrates our Cumbrian artistic talent through a C-Art at Rheged pocket exhibition and sculpture trail, the Lake Artists Society Exhibition and Cumbrian Contrasts. Housed under a unique grass roof, Rheged is a building of architectural merit. With a gallery, IMAX-style cinema, individual shops, cafés, a brand new cookery school and beauty spa, plus activities for children, we very much hope you enjoy your visit to Rheged.

If you like this you may also like our other Art of Remembering events. D-Day 1944 3D and a series of WW1 lectures and feature length films including Paths of Glory and Lawrence of Arabia. See rheged.com for details.
