Hair and Beauty

This course provides an overview of the hairdressing industry, as well as some practical skills to get you started and help you gain an apprenticeship or hair salon assistant position.

Certificate III In Hairdressing (SIH30111)

Develop the practical and theoretical skills you will need to become a qualified hairdresser. Hairdressing is a great launching pad to many different job opportunities from a salon owner to a hair stylist.

Certificate II in Retail Make-Up and Skin Care (SIB20110)

​ earn about workplace communication, L interacting with customers, demonstrating and selling make-up and skin care products, and performing routine functions. This course will be offered as a dual qualification with the Certificate II in Hairdressing.

Hospitality and Cookery Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (SIT30813)

Gain the industry certification you need to be a qualified cook in a commercial kitchen. Learn to prepare and serve food in various hospitality settings. Can be offered as an apprenticeship or a non apprentice course.

Information Technology Certificate II in Information, Digital Media and Technology (ICA20111)

This course is for students who already have basic computer skills. It provides basic digital literacy in order to become competent in a range of general information and communications technology functions and to provide support to a range of industry occupations.

Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technology (ICA30111)

Become competent in introductory information communication technology (ICT) technical functions and learn how to support information activities in the workplace. Achieve a degree of self-sufficiency as an individual ICT user.

Certificate IV in Information Technology (ICA40111)

Learn to be effective in network management either as an independent information and communications technology specialist, or as part of a team. Develop skills and knowledge in the installation and management of simple networks.

Diploma of Information Technology (ICA50111)

Gain the skills and knowledge to be competent in a range of information communication technology (ICT) fields at diploma level. The qualification has a strong core ICT base and offers pathways into a number of ICT qualifications.

Aimed at new integration aides, or aspiring integration aides. Develop the skills required to support children in relation to inclusive learning practices for children with disabilities and the impacts their disabilities may have upon development.

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110)

This is the qualification required by trainers and assessors to train and assess nationally recognised qualifications in the vocational education and training (VET) sector which includes TAFE or private registered training organisations (RTOs).

Community Services, Health and Wellbeing Enhance the knowledge, skills and qualifications you need to work in children’s and community services, as well as the health industry. As part of your course, enjoy on the job training and work placement opportunities throughout the region. Laboratory Operations Certificate III In Laboratory Skills (MSL30109)

Learn how to perform straight forward sampling and testing, follow set procedures and recipes, apply well developed technical skills and basic scientific knowledge. The electives allow you to maximise your skills and may increase your employment opportunities.

Certificate IV In Laboratory Techniques (MSL40109)

Learn how to process and interpret data, plan and conduct laboratory work, culture media, aseptic technique, sampling, testing and more. This course covers the skills for technical assistants or similar personnel in workplaces conducting scientific tests/analyses.

Diploma of Nursing (Enrolled/ Division 2 nursing) (HLT51612)

Gain the skills to interact competently and professionally with other health professionals within acute and non-acute environments. The course is sequenced to incorporate theoretical and clinical learning activities.

Nursing and Allied Health Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (HLT42512)

This qualification is for workers who provide program related support to allied health professionals such as occupational therapists. Complete physiotherapy and occupational therapy skill sets, as well units to cover strength training and recreational programs for older persons.

Certificate III in Dental Assisting (HLT31812)

Gain the skills required to assist a dentist, dental hygienist or dental therapist. Subjects include infection control, practice administration, communication, oral health care and radiography assistance, OH&S and first aid. Offered as a traineeship to employees in a dental practice.

Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (HLT32512)

This traineeship is for those working in the health industry. It covers roles providing assistance to health professional staff with client care and supports the multi-skilling requirements of smaller and rural/remote work. Electives are packaged to address specific roles.

Certificate II in Health Support Services (HLT21212)

This traineeship qualification covers workers who provide support for the effective functioning of health services, requiring discretion and judgement. These workers also provide a team leadership or workplace training function.

This course is designed for students who wish to pursue a career in the diverse visual arts industry. This may include working in a studio based or shared workshop environment.

Occupational Health and Safety Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (BSB41412) This program is the entry level qualification for occupational health and safety (OH&S) coordinators or supervisors with a major workload in OH&S. Graduates of this course will have the qualifications suitable to be a WorkSafe inspector.

This qualification reflects the role of visual artists who combine specialised technical creative and conceptual skills to prepare for and develop an emerging arts practice. They are able to plan and realise a body of work in one or more art forms.

English Language, Indigenous and General Education Bendigo TAFE offers a diverse range of learning opportunities that are designed to provide individuals and groups with access to quality education. English, literacy and numeracy classes for adults are available, varying from basic skills to advanced writing and mathematics. VCAL - Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning - Senior (VCALSEN001) Independent learning, whilst under supervision. Development of knowledge and employability skills leads to independent learning, confidence and a high level of transferable skills to extend meaningful employment pathways and/or further education for young people aged 15 and above.

Trades and Sustainability Our focus is to ensure industries have access to well trained, highly skilled tradespeople. Agriculture, Horticulture, Conservation and Land Management Certificate III in Agriculture (AHC30110)

Gives currently employed farmhands the skills to work with minimal supervision on a sheep, beef or cropping farm. Learn about planning livestock feeding, husbandry and health programs, planning cropping programs, fencing and machinery maintenance.

Learn about animal, plant and pest control and natural area restoration. This is an introductory course for a number of pathway options in the conservation and land management program.

Training for engineering technicians and may be part of a traineeship. Gain the skills in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) and design, including prototyping, inspection, quality control, laboratory, non-destructive testing, technical purchasing, estimating and production planning.

The training component of a carpentry apprenticeship. Learn the knowledge, skills and applications in framework, formwork, finishing and carpentry, the processes required for building a house or commercial building from the initial stages through to completion.

Certificate III in Electrical Machine Repair (Apprenticeship) (UEE30611)

The training component for motor rewinder apprentices. It combines on the job training with classroom theory, ensuring that the knowledge and practical skills you acquire are relevant to your apprenticeship.

Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (Electrical Apprenticeship) (UEE30811) This course combines on the job training with off the job education. Learn how to select, install, set up, test, fault find, repair and maintain electrical systems and equipment.

Certificate II in Electrotechnology - Pre-Vocational (21887VIC) Learn the basics of electrical theory and maths, and gain practical skills to make you more employable as an apprentice in the fast growing electrical, security systems, refrigeration or air-conditioning trades.

Certificate III in Plumbing (apprenticeship) (CPC32412)

The theory component of a plumbing apprenticeship. It provides trade outcomes in roles such as plumber, gasfitter, drainer or roof plumber. There are six streams available: water, sanitary, drainage, mechanical services, roofing and gas services.

Certificate IV in Plumbing and Services (Operations) (CPC40912)

This course is for specialist plumbing services tradespeople wanting to increase their technical competency. Gain the skills to plan and size the layout of plumbing in buildings up to six stories high.
