King Raymond Marion Dearman, Jr, Queen Sarah Clifton Yandell, President Katherine Dobbs, the Grand Krewes, and the Royal Court came together June 4-10 for a week of fundraising, camaraderie, and celebrating our community. The “Parties with a Purpose” raised $400,000 for this year’s Carnival Memphis Children’s Charities: Memphis Child Advocacy Center, Southern Reins Center for Equine Therapy, and Compass Community Schools. Bringing the total raised by Carnival for local children’s organizations since 1999 to $4 million with matching funds. carnivalmemphis.org
