Youth Job & Resource Fair

The Southwest Vida visited Abraham Lincoln High School, sponsoring a Youth Job and Resource Fair to high school students. We served over 600 students, and some had the opportunity to be interviewed, and were hired on the spot. The number of youth employed is below:

2 Marketing Interns with Southwest Denver Coalition & BuCu West

3 Youth for the Public Safety Youth Leadership Team

4 Youth Hired for Elitch Gardens

Others were also hired and/or connected to resources

Youth received information from the City and the Cadet Program

El Equipo del Suroeste de Denver fue a la Escuela Secundaria Abraham Lincoln y patrocinado a los estudiantes de secundaria a una Feria de Recursos y Trabajo para Jóvenes. Servimos a más de 600 estudiantes. Los estudiantes tuvieron la oportunidad de ser entrevistados y contratados en los lugares. El número de jóvenes empleados se muestra a continuación:

What is the Youth Leadership Team?

The Public Safety Youth Leadership Team is part was established as Denver’s overall response to violence by and against youth The team engages in service projects and gives away several scholarships, up to $1,000 to youth selected at their annual Youth Summit

El Equipo de Liderazgo Juvenil de Seguridad Pública es parte de la respuesta general de Denver a la violencia por y contra los jóvenes. El equipo participa en proyectos de servicio y otorga varias becas de hasta $1,000 a jóvenes seleccionados en su Cumbre Anual de la Juventud

Meets Tuesdays from 4:306:30pm.

Receive $15.87 per hour

During school 5 hours/week

Summer 20-30 hours per week for 7 weeks

Youth are excused to participate in extra activities.
