Στα πλαίσια υλοποίησης του πολιτιστικού προγράμματος «Γνωρίζοντας τους γείτονες μας» για την μελέτη των πολιτιστικών στοιχείων των δύο λαών και την διαπίστωση ομοιοτήτων/διαφορών, ζητήθηκε από τους μαθητές να παρουσιάσουν τις δραστηριότητες που έχουν στον ελεύθερο χρόνο τους στην ομάδα συνεργασίας του προγράμματος στην ιστοσελίδα κοινωνικής δικτύωσης. Από τα σχόλια που προέκυψαν διαπιστώσαμε ότι η μουσική, ο αθλητισμός και το διάβασμα είναι στην κορυφή των προτιμήσεων τόσο Ελλήνων όσο και Τούρκων εφήβων.

Student: Μίλτος Νίστας Free time is definitely something extremely important for a 17 year-old student. It is the
only period during the day when he can relax, rest and do something pleasant and at the same time useful for him. Because of this fact, students need to understand the value of free time.
Personally, i am not quite sure that i have but still i try to enjoy as much as I can my daily free time with different ...ways.
First of all, i spend some time every day watching movies or surfing through the Internet, both of which are something that students of my age also do. Moreover Ι really enjoy listening to the radio or music every night before i sleep. I dont know why but it is the perfect way for me to relax and forget the fact that I have to get up at 07:30 in the morning! I also like reading books with historical or medieval plot although I only manage to do that in weekends. And finally as a common teenager i go out with my friends for a walk or to play basketball whenever I have the chance. The last one is the most important for me...

Student: Μπουλούτης Μαρίνος In my free time I am busy with many activities. My hobbies include various types of art, but mainly I focus in music and theatre. I play guitar and sing at the same time for seven years. I adapt songs, and write my own songs and music... as well. I also like composing music for theatre performances, I have done this for two theatre shows in my school. This year I am taking part in the music group of our school and enjoying myself!
My musical influences are from rock ballads (Greek and foreign), classic rock of 60's-70's-80's, ethnic music (from various countries), and traditional songs. I love mixing different types of music and get a beautiful mixed result, like mixing traditional songs with rock. I think that activities like these are creative and make someone feel full and complete.

Student: Χαρά Κλεφτογιάννη What I do when I have free time, is playing guitar.
I am fond of playing guitar because I like learning how songs are
performed and how they sound. I can’t play well but it’s my goal to learn. My favorite song in guitar is the
soundtrack of the movie “Pirates of the Caribbean”

Student: Βασιλική Καρκάλου In my free time I like playing piano. I play piano for 9 years, since I was 9 years old. Also I have a certificate and I really enjoy it, but I am a little bit shy when I play in front of others. Having watched pianists on tv I was inspired to start playing myself. I enjoy playing basketball too. I play every weekend in Galatsi's team.To conclude , I like going for coffee with my friends or watching movies and listening to music.

Student: Χρήστος Κυπαρίσσης I usually spend my free time with my friends, because I hate doing thinks alone. We listen to music and we play team sports like football and basketball. These sports are energetic and for this reason can help us forget our problems for while. In addition, team sports offer me the opportunity to meet new people and make new friends.
Another way to spend my leisure time is listening to music, because music relaxes me. My favorite kind of music is rock and my favorite band is “Scorpions”.

Student: Εύα Nιαβή In my free time I like listening to music, my favourite bands are Green Day, AFI, Good Charlotte and Paramore. I also like songs that are played at clubs because I like dancing. Further more I like drawing. But what I love is going out with my friends!

I usually don’t have free time to spend because
of my responsibilities; so whenever I have some I prefer reading books. Especially during a hot
summer noon when everybody is sleeping I lie on my bed and with the view of the sea I let
myself relax. I usually read books which come in series like Harry Potter but I also like the
writings of people from the north. Reading the western ascend with a cold soft drink is the best! I have to admit I love Greek literature;
authors like Odysseus Elites and Kavafes are two of the greatest writers in our history!

Σωτηρία Ζαμάνου In my free time I like playing guitar and singing with my mom. I also like going to lunch with my friends or sitting for hours and looking at the view. On Sundays I prefer reading books or watching movies
As you can understand I can't deal with only one thing because I get bored rather easily!

Ειρήνη Μπόρα In my free time, I really enjoy reading books. My favorite book is “The murderess” ( “I fonissa” ), written by Alexandros Papadiamantis.
I think that reading is an extremely interesting activity, which expands our
intellectual horizons. Moreover we widen our knowledge and we develop our critical ability. Last but not least it offers moments of relaxation and entertainment…

Greek students don’t have much leisure time due to school overload but when I manage to spare some time I love listening to music. I don’t have a particular type of music that I listen but I prefer rock music and mostly English songs. My favorite song is Faint from Linkin Park. I like the sound of electric guitar and I enjoy listening songs which have electric guitar solos. My favorite guitarist is Brad Delson from Linkin Park. So when I come back from lessons in the night I like listening to music because music is a way of relaxation.

Student: Στέλλα Λεπενίτσα At my free time I really like watching films… My favorite
film is Titanic… Furthermore I like listening to music. Music
relaxes me. My favorite type of music is ballads, and I prefer Kotsiras a Greek singer –
composer. But I like all kind of music… I think that music is a way of life. : - )
