THE WAY SOMEONE LIVES DEFINES THE WORK THEY PRODUCES THE TWO CANNOT BE SEPERATE

Hello There !

I am a beginner 3D artist with a strong passion for design. While I am new to the world of animation, I have always been fascinated by the way that art and technology can come together to create amazing visuals and storytelling. I am excited to learn more about the intricacies of 3D animation and to develop my skills as an animator.

In addition to animation, I am also passionate about design and enjoy exploring different mediums such as graphic design and Industri al design. Through this portfolio, I hope to showcase my creativity and dedication to learning and growing as an designer.

I hope I can study in Kwantlen Polytechnic University to develop my skills and inspire others through my design.

Basic Character Rigging Practice

07

In my practice of Maya skeleton binding, I have focused on creating rigs for non-humanoid characters with unconventional joint structures. I have also challenged myself to create rigs for humanoid characters with additional joints in the legs, using a four-joint rig instead of the standard three-joint rig for the legs and using spline IK to create smoother deformation for the spine and tail of non-humanoid characters. Overall, my experience in Maya skeleton binding has allowed me to expand my skills and knowledge in rigging for a variety of character types and structures.

Wheels Rigging

During my exercise in Maya skeleton binding, I utilized the geometry constraint and aim constraint rigging function to approach the effect of an office chair. I attempted to rig the wheels of an office chair using a combination of joint and control rigging techniques. This involved creating joints to represent the various parts of the wheel and then using control rigging to create a mechanism that would allow the wheels to spin realistically.

When I was studying industrial design at university, one of the most important lessons we learned was the importance of considering multiple aspects when brainstorming for a design project. Our professors emphasized that our designs should not only be visually appealing but also safe and functional for the end user.

Toy Brick Design We Need “Overthinking”

One example of this philosophy in action was the material we used for our building blocks. Our professors encouraged us to use wood wax oil that was food-grade, ensuring that even if children accidentally ingested it, there would be no harm done. This was a great example of how we can prioritize the safety of users during the design process. By using food-grade wood wax oil, we eliminated the risk of harmful chemicals being ingested by children who may accidentally put the building blocks in their mouths. This not only provided a safe

environment for children to play but also gave parents peace of mind knowing that their children were not at risk of harm. experience when designing products. This included factors such as accessibility, ergonomics, and sustainability. By considering these factors, we were able to create designs that were not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional and environmentally friendly.

Overall, the lessons we learned in industrial design emphasized the importance of putting the user first. By considering multiple aspects of the user experience and doing our best to protect users, we were able to create designs that were both visually appealing and safe for people to use. This approach to industrial design ensures that we create products that not only meet the needs of our clients but also improve the lives of those who use them.

Digital Art

Digital art has become an popular medium for artists in recent years, and I am no exception. As someone who enjoys exploring my creative side, I have found digital art to be an excellent outlet for my artistic expression. I primarily use Photoshop and Illustrator for my work, and I often spend hours exploring different techniques and tools to create my art. Learning digital art has not only allowed me to explore my creativity but has also provided me with a sense of calm and peace. When I'm work-

ing on a piece of digital art, I find that I am fully immersed in the process, and all other distractions seem to fade away. It's almost like meditation, and it helps me to relax and unwind after a long day. One of the things I love most about digital art is the ability to create artwork that is inspired by my favorite Japanese anime and manga. I have always been a fan of Japanese animation, and I find myself drawn to the unique style and aesthetic that is present in this art form. By incorporating Japanese

style elements into my digital art, I can create a distinctive and eye-catching style that is both modern and nostalgic. As I continue to explore digital art, I am constantly learning and growing as an artist. Whether I am experimenting with new techniques or refining my existing skills, I find that there is always something new to discover in the world of digital art. With each new piece I create, I am able to express my creativity and find my own sense of calm in the process.

LIVING ROOM

As a design assistant, I had the opportunity to participate in the process of creating a European-style living room. It was an exciting experience for me to be a part of such a project and learn about the various aspects of interior design.

During the project, I learned how to maximize the use of space and create a functional living area that also had a stylish design. The European-style living room required us to focus on details such as the furniture layout, color palette, and lighting.

One of the most important things I learned during this project was how to make the most of limited space. We strategically placed the furniture to create an open and spacious living area, while still ensuring that the room felt cozy and welcoming. We utilized every corner of the room, including the walls and ceiling, to incorporate functional and decorative elements.

The process of designing a European-style living room was challenging, but it was also very rewarding. I enjoyed working with the design team and learning from their expertise in the field. As a design assistant, I was able to contribute my own ideas and collaborate with others to create a living space that was not only visually appealing but also functional for the homeowner.

Industrial Loft Style

One of the key elements of this project was the combination of metal and wood in the design. We used raw and rough materials to create a rustic and industrial feel, while maintaining a sleek and polished look overall. The exposed brick walls and metal pipes gave the space an industrial edge, while the warm wooden flooring and furniture added a touch of coziness and warmth to the space.

Another aspect of the design was the open space concept, which allowed for a seamless flow between different areas of the room. We created a living area, dining area, and workspace that all complemented each other in terms of design and functionality. The industrial-style lighting fixtures, such as exposed bulbs and metal lamps, also added to the overall aesthetic of the space.

Overall, the use of metal and wood in industrial-style interior design can create a unique and eye-catching look that is both modern and classic. With careful consideration of the different elements and materials involved, an industrial space can be transformed into a functional and inviting environment that is both aesthetically pleasing and practical for everyday use.
