MISSION SET BREAKDOWN
RAF Regionally Aligned Forces; This is not a mission but a concept. The Raider Brigade is aligned with Europe. Other Brigades Are aligned with Africa and Korea.
NRF NATO RESPONSE FORCE; The mission of the NRF is to provide a rapid demonstration of force and the early establishment of NATO military presence in support of an Article 5 or Crisis Response Operation.
ERF European Rotational Force; A U.S.-based brigade from which we will provide the U.S. land force contribution to the NATO Response Force, and we will rotate a battalion-sized taskforce to Germany for exercises and training.

Quality of Life
• GTA– Soldiers will be staying in enclosed structures at Camp Aachen/Algiers and sleeping on cots. – Soldiers will be eating at a Dining Facility for most meals when not in the field.
• HTA– Soldiers will operate mostly in the field with a week on the front end, and two days at the end of the rotation, in barracks.

Quality of Life • Pay – Married Soldiers will receive Family Separation Pay ($350) every 30 days that they are in Europe – Soldiers will have BAS recouped from their paychecks for their time in Europe – Pay is not Tax Exempt • Mail – Mail will be forwarded to Germany through the BN mail clerk. APO Address TBA for care packages. • Internet Connectivity – During the limited times at the barracks at GTA and HTA, Soldiers will have some opportunities to access several WiFi hotspots 1/13/2015

CELLPHONE RULE - Soldiers may bring their cell phones - Soldiers may purchase prepaid phones exclusively for use in Europe - Cell phones must have international calling plans to be functional– These can be very expensive!
