Over the years, Breeze Group took a major step forward by reinvented Taipei Main Station, one of the country’s most important traffic hubs, into Breeze Taipei Station. The result of the makeover resulted in a collection of simple yet quality driven restaurants and novelty stores, which reinvigorated the surrounding economy. At the same time, Breeze’s belief of pursuing simplicity without compromising quality has made a deep impression among the populace, which in turn has transformed consumer behaviors and values. Consumer behavior in the 21st Century is never constant. As a result, Breeze Group must revamp itself continuously in order to adapt. Although we have enjoyed success and received recognition over the years, we do not have the luxury to dwell on the past. Our plan for the future is to effectively implement the passing on of our heritage and legacy. The first major step would be the establishment of Breeze Xin Yi, located in the heart of the business and financial district of Taipei City. Staying true to our corporate belief, the design of Breeze Song Gao and Breeze Xin Yi is uncomplicated and unadulterated, creating a peaceful and serene atmosphere for our customers. It is our wish to build a relaxing space for anyone who is wearied and fatigued from the grueling and hectic urban lifestyle; a place for people to slow down and readjust their tempo. Our aspiration to expand into the international market, based more on necessity than trend, is next on our agenda. Breeze Center, Taiwan’s first female oriented shopping mall, has achieved the once impossible and set numerous records along the way. Over the years, we developed and managed our own brands and cultivated the Breeze spirit: “brand culture and image fostered by aesthetic lifestyles and attitudes,” into every aspect of our customers’ lives. Not only did we accomplish what others once thought to be unattainable, we have also ensured a future with limitless potential. 2011 was the milestone that marked a magnificent first decade for Breeze. During our development from Breeze Center into Breeze Group, we have set sales records in the tens of billions. Even with praise and accolade coming from all sides, I still remain cautious and vigilant when leading the company onward into the future. “Innovation, Change, and Perseverance” has always been the core values here at Breeze. With the establishment of Breeze Taipei Station, we renovated the once outdated and archaic building into a fashionable gourmet center for exquisite cuisine. This is a perfect demonstration of how we implemented our values with resolve and determination. The highly acclaimed Breeze Night is another example where our values are manifested fully. Not only are we inventive with the yearly themes, we also set new sales records annually. The extent to which our customers ardently anticipate this annual red carpet event is testament to our adamant insistence on the implementation of our core beliefs. My mission is to promote the spirit of Breeze, a lifestyle that is simple yet elegant and graceful, into the hearts of our customers. We believe that anybody could, within an acceptable medium to high price range, create an affordable lifestyle that embodies both fashion and quality. Breeze Center is definitely not an exclusive playground to those who are wealthy; it also belongs to the dreamers who have an appreciation for excellence. Giving back to our community has always been a top priority for us. In the future, efforts to cultivate and strengthen our roots in Taiwan would be materialized through Breeze Charity Foundation and Breeze Investment, two of our recently founded establishments. These two departments would allow us to provide help to those in dire need. In the mean time, we are also making inroads to promote and expand ourselves in China and other international markets. In 2005, Breeze introduced Yu Fu In, a classic Japanese noodle house, into Taiwan. Founded in 1955, Yu Fu In Specializes in locally made noodles with techniques that originated from Kyushu, which are passed down from experienced noodle masters. Although the noodle house only features two types of noodles and one kind of soup stock, a variety of tastes with different layers could be achieved with the combination of different ingredients. To ensure authenticity, the flour and the machines used to produce the noodles are imported directly from Japan. The soup stock, low in grease and highly refreshing, is made daily. The Crown Jewel of Parisian Bakery French bakery Maison Kayser, in collaboration with Breeze Group and a premium Japanese bakery, made its debut in Taiwan in 2007. Offering authentic French bread and pastries, it was an immediate hit even to those with the pickiest of palates. Using only natural yeast as a leavening agent and allowing long periods of maturation, Maison Kayser promises that, with each single bite, the sweet richness of wheat unfolding on the tip of the tongue would be as harmonious as a concerto. BREEZE CHARITY FOUNDATION A Micro-Financing Bank that Teaches You How to Fish After overcoming numerous adversities and challenges over the past years, Breeze Group reached new heights with the achievement of over NT$10 billion in revenue in 2011. The long journey that brought us to this achievement had its rocky moments and uncertainties, but we prevailed eventually. Our dedication and hard work was manifested by Breeze Taipei Station; the once out-of-date building that was revamped into a posh retail center. With a brilliant and spectacular past as our foundation, we intend to reach for new heights in the future. Besides managing and developing our brands, we founded Breeze Charity Foundation in 2011 to provide help for the needy in an organized and timely manner. We hope to implement charity with our actions instead of speaking of it in intangible forms. Breeze Group has spared nothing i n t e r m s o f c h a r i t y. Morakot ravaged southern Taiwan in 2011, Breeze’s Executive Director Henry Liao and Art Director Michelle Liao traveled to affected areas to contribute their efforts for disaster relief. These priceless firsthand experiences we garnered through interacting with those in need have allowed us to connect and empathize deeply with them. Assisting our friends through their struggles has always been Breeze’s principle guideline on charity work. Our charity foundation is all-encompassing and not limited to the traditional sense of charity functions. We would act as a micro-financial institute that review and approve proposals from applicants. Those selected would receive assistance from us during different phases. By providing the necessary equipment, technical guidance, and comprehensive counseling, we could create entrepreneurial or career opportunities, thus helping the applicants realize their dreams. Breeze has also been organizing employee blood donation campaigns annually. By doing our part, Breeze hopes that every member of the company would have motivation to bring comfort the needy. Just like a gentle gale of breeze soothing the hearts of the underprivileged in a soft and subtle way.
