Sponsor of the Month, MSgt Harold Gomez, 31DS Knowing how critical it can be to have a smooth transition overseas, MSgt Harold Gomez fully embraced his role as a sponsor for an incoming member. He was prompt in reaching out to introduce himself, and was readily available to answer questions and provide resources. Upon arrival, he was there to pick up the new member and made sure he had food and comfort items ready in their room. MSgt Gomez provided a wealth of information about Aviano, and the new member arrived feeling prepared and comfortable. Thank you for your outstanding commitment to our community, MSgt Gomez!
Team of the Month, Civilian Personnel Flight
The Civilian Personnel Flight navigated and implemented the Italian Decree for Green Pass verification for all Aviano AB workers - collaborating across multiple offices such as ITAF, Unions, Office for Protection and Prevention, Medical Group, JA and USAFE. Additionally, the flight ran several data drills in preparation for the US civilian vaccine mandate, scrubbing over 100 positions in hierarchy to ensure supervisors have the right access for verification. The team planned and held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the CPF Annex, a vital hub for external applicants that service the Wyvern community. Finally, the team orchestrated a meet and greet for the new MSG Commander and the two Italian Labor unions. Thank you for your endless support of our community, Civilian Personnel Flight! 5

TSgt Tripodi has filled in as the Section Chief of Force Management for over 7 months, leading 4 airmen & 1 civilian. She revolutionized the Wing EFDP procedures, managed 110 MELs, resolved 42 discrepancies, submitted 2 ETPs, and processed 197 evaluations and 69 awards & decorations. Additionally, she oversaw the distribution of 54 special duty assignment pay rosters and finalized 48 pay requests, ensuring $14K entitlements paid to members. Furthermore, she completed 7 G-Series order requests, 14 UIFs, and 3 demotions, optimizing data integrity. Lastly, she completed the "Leading Diversity" course, flexed as the FSS Unity & Inclusion program manager, certified MRT & flight GRIT lead. Thank you for your incredible commitment and hard work, TSgt Tripodi!
