The Mass Award is presented to people or organizations which have set out to do good works and have demonstrated support for the Irish Community in and around Genesee County. Michael Powers, who retired from the Shiawassee County Sheriff’s Department and was the former police chief of Clayton Township, is 2014’s humble recipient.
