NATIONAL DISABILITY EMPLOYMENT AWARENESS MONTH

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), a time to recognize the skills, dedication and contributions that people with disabilities bring to the workplace. The 2025 theme, “Celebrating Value and Talent,” underscores the importance of creating inclusive environments where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

The Palm Beach County Library System supports this mission by offering resources that promote access and independence. Patrons can explore assistive technology, attend sensory-friendly browsing hours and use services such as Books-by-Mail and Talking Books. The Library also provides employment resources and digital tools to help residents prepare for the workforce.
