Caffè La Messicana Piacenza iniziò la propria attività nel lontano 1957. La torrefazione era composta da un negozio e da una piccola macchina per tostare il caffè nella città emiliana posta a 60 Km. a Sud di Milano. Nell’arco di un decennio, La Messicana divenne il più importante torrefattore piacentino. Le città di Milano, Lodi, Cremona, Parma e Pavia videro gradualmente aumentare la presenza del nostro caffè. Dalla metà degli anni ’90, Caffè La Messicana Piacenza ha visto aumentare la propria presenza anche all’estero, acquisendo clienti in Europa, Canada, Nord Africa e Asia. Questo sviluppo continua anche oggi. Dal giugno 2015, Caffè La Messicana Piacenza è stata acquisita dal Fondo di Private Equity APE Sgr di Milano, specializzato nello sviluppo di aziende di medie dimensioni. Con una capacità produttiva in grado di supportare un importante sviluppo commerciale, Caffè La Messicana Piacenza S.p.A. ha cominciato a scrivere una nuova, importante pagina della propria storia. “Città d’Italia” è il nuovo marchio di Caffè La Messicana Piacenza, dedicato principalmente ai mercati esteri. “Città d’Italia” è un tributo alla tradizione del caffè italiano che sempre più si stà affermando nel mondo come uno degli elementi più rappresentativi del “made in Italy”. L’originale presentazione grafica si ispira ad alcune delle nostre più importanti città (Milano, Roma, Venezia, Pisa, Torino, Napoli ed altre che seguiranno) che sono state “interpretate” da un’Illustratrice-Architetto. Il criterio utilizzato consiste in una rivisitazione dei motivi stilistici ed architettonici tipici delle nostre città, creando così un’immagine classica ed al tempo stesso nuova. A questo approccio, classico e innovativo, si richiama il “sistema di marketing” che Caffè La Messicana Piacenza ha costruito intorno ai propri prodotti, per consentire ai propri clienti di comunicare al consumatore finale la loro valenza unica catturando la loro attenzione mentre gustano i nostri prodotti. “Città d’Italia” scrive così una nuova ed importante pagina della storia di Caffè La Messicana Piacenza.
Caffè La Messicana Piacenza was born in 1957, when a new coffee shop was opened in the city located at 60 Km. South of Milan. This coffee house included a store and a small roasting oven. Within 10 years, Caffè La Messicana became the first roasted coffee maker in Piacenza, supplier for most bars and restaurants in the area. In the following years, the company continued to grow in Piacenza’s neighboring provinces such as Milan, Lodi, Cremona, Parma and Pavia and its coffee aroma conquered the most demanding tastes. Since the middle of the ’90, the business was further developed exporting the Caffè La Messicana brand to Europe, Canada, North Africa and Asia. In June 2015, Caffè La Messicana Piacenza has been purchased by the Assietta Private Equity Investment Fund, headquartered in Milan and specialized in the acquisition and development of medium size companies. With a high quality coffee tradition and an important incremental production capacity, a new history has started! “Città d’Italia” is the new trademark of Caffè La Messicana Piacenza, is mainly dedicated to the foreing markets. “Città d’Italia” is a tribute to the tradition of the Italian coffee, which is more and more becoming worldwide one of the most iconic elements of the “made in Italy”. The original graphic representation is inspired to some of our most important cities: Milan, Rome, Venice, Pisa, Turin, Neaples and more to come… They have been “interpreted” by an Architect-Designer: she has revisited the stylistic and architectural motifs typical of our cities, creating an image at the same time classical and innovative. Caffè La Messicana Piacenza has built around this approach a comprehensive “marketing system” in order to allow customers to communicate to the final consumer the products’ uniqueness capturing their attention while they taste its blends. “Città d’Italia” is going to write a new and important page in the history of Caffè La Messicana Piacenza.
