GET A WASH AND A SHOT IN THE ARM!

THE POWER OF FLOWERS!

Up until a few years ago Magic Carwash in Manahawkin, New Jersey, used to turn its self serve bays into a drive-thru flu shot clinic. This took place prior to flu season. And, while it was set up as a community service and didn’t bring in any additional profits to the carwash, it was a good deed which garnered positive media attention. The car wash discontinued the flu-shot bays when chain pharmacies such as CVS, Rite-Aid and even grocery stores started offering up flu shots to the masses.

Back in 2001, Jack Anthony, current CEO of 7 Flags Car Wash, a chain of washes in California, spoke at the International Carwash Association’s annual tradeshow (then referred to as Car Care World Expo). Anthony shared that one of the best things they had done (so far) at one of their self serves, was to use a bay as a flower shop. After a lengthy search, SSCWN was unable to determine if the flower shop is still open…
