Josh Apple is the managing attorney in the Flowers office. Josh is a graduate of the University of North Carolina. He then earned a Master of Business Administration from Elon University. Josh received his law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law. He has been an attorney for 15 years and has an extensive background in Real Estate, Estate Planning, and Business law. Josh is also an NFL Certified Sports Agent and has been representing professional athletes for the past decade. He negotiates their professional contracts with NFL teams, helps them secure marketing and endorsement opportunities, and advises his athlete clients on all their business ventures.
Josh lives in Clayton with his wife Brianna, and their two children, Johnny and Sophia. Brianna serves as the Executive Vice President of the Thanksgiving Elementary School PTA and also serves as a substitute teacher in Johnston County Schools. His son Johnny will attend Archer Lodge Middle School in the fall and his daughter Sophia will be in the 3rd grade at Thanksgiving Elementary School. Josh and Brianna take pride in supporting local businesses. Josh is a proud member of the Clayton Chamber of Commerce.
Josh is excited to be a part of the tremendous growth in Flowers Plantation. Thales Academy Flowers Plantation Campus Expanding To Become Thales Academy's Largest Campus To Date With New Junior High/High School Building And Gymnatorium To Open For 2024-2025 School Year!
Thales Academy, a college preparatory network of K-12 independent schools based in North Carolina, is expanding its campus in the Flowers Plantation award-winning, masterplanned community near Clayton, NC. The expansion will include a new junior high/high school building and a standalone gymnatorium building. Construction is underway and the new buildings are slated to open for the 2024-2025 school year. This will be Thales Academy’s largest campus to date among its growing network of schools, which currently includes thirteen campuses in North Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia, instructing over 6,000 students.
Thales Academy at Flowers Plantation is Thales Academy’s first campus in Johnston County and opened for its inaugural school year this past fall thanks to a generous 19.18-acre land donation from Flowers Plantation. Currently serving grades Pre-K through 7th grade, the campus is adding 8th grade for the 2023-2024 school year and will continue to add grades through twelfth grade in the future contingent on adequate interest and enrollment for staffing.
The new construction will include a second building of the same design as the current Thales Academy at Flowers Plantation campus, with its modern, yet classical, aesthetic modeled after beauty and order, and large floor-to-ceiling glass windows that provide an abundance of natural light in all classrooms. A standalone gymnatorium of a similar aesthetic will also be built on the campus, and the new buildings will add a chemistry lab, a STEM/robotics/ vocational arts lab, a weight room, and indoor volleyball and basketball courts to the campus facilities and amenities. All facilities will boast a beautiful, secure design, outfitted with the latest safety and security features, including controlledaccess doors, security cameras, and background check systems for all visitors, as well as advanced HVAC units that provide up to 100% outdoor air for superior indoor air quality.
