A PRODUCTIVE OFF-SEASON

By Casey Klossner, Director of Agronomy

I am happy to report that we are taking full advantage of the aboveaverage temperatures and have begun work on a number of in-house projects including walk paths, cart paths and tree plantings

We have installed new walk paths through the fescue on the #8 green to the #9 green tee, the #9 green to the #10 forward tee, the #9 green to the #10 forward tee, the #10 green to the #11 yellow tee, the #12 green to the #13 tee, and the #16 forward tee

Additionally, a cart path extension was completed to the left of the #9 green with our asphalt millings material

We have also begun strategically planting trees on hole #11. These tree locations were presented by Rees Jones, Inc. as a way to protect the #14 tee and the #13 green from errant shots from the #11 tee.

If the current weather pattern continues, these trees will be planted this month, which is weeks ahead of schedule The trees to be planted are maple, oak, and elm, and were hand selected from a large tree nursery in New Jersey The specimens range from 30-40 feet and will have an immediate impact on hole #11

From our entire staff, Happy New Year and we look forward to seeing you on the course.
