In October, the men ’ s tournament season closed with two

“ majors ” – the Fall Classic Member-Member and the Vogel Cup Member-Guest. In the Fall Classic, Kirk Kashevaroff & Howard Mertz won for the second time in a six-year span and “Kash” claimed his fifth title (with four different partners!). Jasjit Singh & guest Vineet Sikka were victorious in the season ’ s final MemberGuest and Jasjit Singh is likely the only player to win the coveted Vogel Cup as a member and as a guest, which he did so just a few years ago.

In the final women ’ s

“ silver ” event, the Flaming Foliage, Karen Cariddi made a short putt on the last hole to win by one point over defending champion Joette Fullerton for her first victory in this event.

And Mary Fuerst accomplished an eight year long goal in winning the 9-Hole Women ’ s Club Championship by defeating defending champion Doreen Rose.
