Troubleshooting PROBLEM Steering is rough or difficult.
Steering handle does not return to the vertical position.

POSSIBLE CAUSE
PROCEDURE OR ACTION
Power steering sensor out of calibration.
Calibrate power steering sensor.
Power steering "Relaxed" due to sensor or system fault.
Check for error codes. (PS may resume once truck stops if system recovers)
Steering handle swivel bearing(s) need lubrication.
Lubricate or repack bearings.
Bearing retaining nut torque incorrect.
Loosen retaining nut and re-torque to 19 N•m (26 lbf ft).
Gas spring is weak or broken.
Replace gas spring.
Gas spring ball stud broken or loose.
Retighten or replace gas spring ball stud.
