Remove the fill cap (Item 1) [Figure 10-90-5]. P-48428A
Put oil in the engine. (See Capacities on Page SPEC-103)
Open the engine cover (Item 1). Loosen the thumb nut and open the access cover (Item 2) [Figure 10-90-4] on the left side of the machine.
Install the fill cap. Start the engine and let it run for several minutes.
Remove the oil filter (Item 3) [Figure 10-90-4] (located under the alternator) and clean the filter housing surface. Put clean oil on the oil filter gasket. Install the filter and hand tighten.
Stop the engine and check for leaks at the oil filter. Remove the dipstick and check the oil level. Add oil as needed if it is not at the top mark on the dipstick. Install the dipstick and close the engine cover.
WARNING
Close the side access cover.
