INSTRUCTIONS Cable must have a free play of about 2 mm (3/32”) before unlatching lid. If latch doesn't work properly, upper cover must be removed and cable readjusted. If cable is too loose, more cable sheath must be past extrusion groove. If cable is too tight, less cable sheath must be past extrusion groove. When cable is properly adjusted, Torque upper cover to extrusion bolts in a criss cross pattern at a torque of 25 N•m (18 lbf•ft).

Apply Loctite† 243 thread locker (P/N 293 800 600) on lower cover bolts [P1.2] and fasten lower cover [P1.1] to upper cover [P1]. Torque bolts to 10 N•m (95 lbf•in). Reinstall and reconnect battery.

 WARNING

Always connect RED (+) cable first then BLACK (-) cable. Reconnect turn signal connectors. CAUTION: Always test light operation after reconnecting turn signal connectors.

Under lid.

Reinstall rear panels by fastening screws securing front part and reinstalling reusable plastic rivets. Reinstall upper side panels. Reinstall bottom tail cover.
