Slide plates [P3] into end of extrusion.

Fasten extrusion to passenger handle assembly with M8 bolt [P6] from upside down. Torque bolt at 9 N•m (7 lbf•ft). Place and screw a nut [P5] on passenger handle assembly bolt and torque nut at 25 N•m (18 lbf•ft). Fasten extrusion to frame with M8 bolt [P4] and nut [P5]. Hold bolt and torque nut at 25 N•m (18 lbf•ft). NOTE: Bolt head must be toward battery rack.

Fasten upper cover [P1] to extrusion using 4 M8 bolts [P8]. NOTE: The lid [P9] must be installed to make sure latch works properly and to set proper cable adjustment.

Bring upper cover close to extrusion with front facing up. Connect cable to latch [10].

Lay upper cover in position over extrusion. Install lid by aligning lid hooks into rear rack openings [12], then push lid forward and down to lock in position. NOTE: The latch is designed with dual hook position like automobile doors. Make sure lid is correctly latched or it will be secure but loose. Confirm proper cable unlatching function.
