GR.9 Art IGCSE-‐Unit 3: PC Game Cover By Emi Morton Since this Wii game is a basketball game, the target costumer is mostly towards teenage boys and . However the game consists of celebrities playing basketball, so it may also be attract attention among people of any age or gender. Especially because this game includes many popular singers and idols, many fans of these artists will consume it as well.

I first thought of the idea of a celebrity basketball game because recently there had been a celebrity basketball game. I was wondering that if you could play basketball games using NBA basketball players, why couldn’t you play basketball games using celebrities? I searched pictures of celebrities playing basketball on Google. I made sure to set the Safe Search mode to strict. Safe Search instantly got rid of any unnecessary images that appeared on Google Images. I then dragged a picture onto Photoshop and cropped the celebrity out so that I only cropped out the figure. Then, I pasted the figure onto a blank Wii template. I then repeated this by finding pictures of celebrities playing basketball, and then cropping them and pasting them onto the game cover. After I finished adding all the players on the cover, I used the gradient tool and made a black to white gradient, because it made the cover seem more intensified and legitimate. On the back of the cover I wrote a paragraph that wrote, “Join the thrill of playing professional basketball as, with, and against your favorite celebrities. From A-‐list celebrities, down to your z-‐list celebrities, you’re bound to be entertained.” I wrote this to grab the attention of the consumers/costumers. I rated this game an, ‘E’ for everyone, because it is a simple basketball game and does not include any coarse language or severe violence.
