We love your Fenty x Puma range! What do you love about the collab? The thing I love most is the unexpected result between my brand and theirs, the combination, the marriage. It’s like having a baby – you put two things together and all of the sudden it bursts into a new thing. You jetted home to Barbados in October. Is the island still a big part of you? Yes. Everything, from school life, to my home life, to my culture – you are who you are and there’s that foundation that has been built for 16 years before I moved to America, so no matter what, I have always stayed close to my family and my friends and people from home. I always go back home, I always try to stay close to that and never lose that. You had a tough childhood though, right? I definitely had to learn fast how to ignore things or not let it bother me. From the time I was very young, I was teased about being bi-racial. Then when I got older, it was about my breasts. But I’m not victimised – I’m grateful. I think those experiences were strategically put together by God for the preparation of being in the music industry. It’s so easy for me to deal with the bullshit now. You don’t shy away from sexy photo shoots or getting your gear off. Are you super body confident? No. I don’t think anybody really is 100 per cent. I mean, you get comfortable with the fact that that’s your body. After doing that on oing that in the mirror because it was like, ‘OK, whatever, I feel fat today’, but what can you really do about it? You have to just accept your body. Do you struggle with selfonfidence in your career? specially with Anti... I went hrough so many emotions nd roller-coasters of feeling ood, loving it, hating it, oubting myself, hating myself… ventually you just need to know ho you are. You know when mething is you. You know hen you love it and that’s the ly thing that matters.

u’re currently filming cean’s Eight. That’s exciting! ve doing movies now. It’s mething I want to do more I just want to pick films that wise for me and roles that n pull off, nothing that is big for me. I can’t wait to what else I can do.
