Pad System is the result of research on the subject of office lighting that defines a new way of providing light where functional quality and comfort are characterising values. Light is not evenly diffused in space, but instead controlled and measured according to the heights and sizes of individual or group workstations. Through the use of a series of medium power (0.5W) Leds, arranged in such a way to avoid multiple shadows, Pad System competes with the performances of fluorescent lighting while limiting electricity consumption, keeping efficiencies high and improving the maintenance and expected lifetime of the sources. The lamp body consists of an extremely small aluminium profile (85x1200x16mm in thickness) designed to hold an innovative optic structure: a single Led strip in the centre for the direct lighting, whose dark light emission is controlled, spread and reflected by means of a special system with “cells” that ensures homogeneous and glare-free illumination on the work surface; a double strip of high efficiency Leds for the indirect diffused emission. The junction elements give the system its great modularity allowing for multiple configurations in continuous line and with angles. Pad System est le fruit d’une recherche en matière d’éclairage de bureau répondant à un concept nouveau caractérisé par la fonctionnalité et le confort. La lumière n’est pas diffusée dans l’espace de manière homogène mais contrôlée et calibrée en fonction de la hauteur et de la dimension des postes de travail, qu’ils soient individuels ou collectifs. En utilisant une série de Led de puissance moyenne (0,5 W) implantées de façon à éviter les ombres multiples, Pad System rivalise avec les lampes fluorescentes : tout en bénéficiant d’une consommation électrique plus faible, il offre une grande efficacité et améliore la maintenance et la durée de vie des sources lumineuses. Pad System est constitué d’un profil en aluminium très compact (85x1200x16mm d’épaisseur) conçu pour accueillir une structure optique innovante : un module simple de Led à émission directe dark-light contrôlée, répartie et réfléchie par un système particulier de « cellules » aptes à garantir une distribution homogène de la lumière sur le plan de travail, exempte d’éblouissement, et un double module de Led haute performance à émission indirecte diffuse. Les éléments de jonction du système lui confèrent une grande modularité et permettent de réaliser de multiples configurations, en ligne continue ou à angle droit. Matériaux : corps en aluminium extrudé, écran de fermeture en polycarbonate satiné.

Das Licht wird nicht gleichmäßig im Raum verteilt, sondern an den Einzel- oder Gruppenarbeitsplätzen in Höhe und Größe kalibriert und kontrolliert. Über die Verwendung einer Reihe von LED mittlerer Leistung (0,5W), die in solchem Abstand montiert wurden, dass Schattenwurf vermieden wird, ahmt Pad System die Leistungen großer Leuchtstoffröhren nach, ohne jedoch denselben Energieverbrauch zu verzeichnen, und sorgt so für höchste Effizienz, eine verbesserte Wartung und Lebensdauer der Lichtquellen. Das Gehäuse besteht aus einem Aluminiumprofil mit minimalsten Abmessungen (85x1200x16mm Dicke), das entwickelt wurde, um eine innovative optische Struktur aufzunehmen: eine einzelne zentrale Reihe Led für ein direktes Dark-Light Licht, wobei deren Lichtabgabe über ein besonderes „Zellensystem“ kontrolliert, gestreut und reflektiert wird, um eine gleichmäßige blendfreie Lichtverteilung auf den Arbeitsflächen zu erzeugen, eine Doppelreihe Led höchster Leistungsfähigkeit für einen indirekten, gestreuten Lichtaustritt. Über ein Verbindungsstück lassen sich die einzelnen Systemteile miteinander verbinden, um größere Konfigurationen zu schaffen um durchgehende Lichtlinien und -winkel zu erzeugen.
