STEAM HOSE TYPE 29 Application
High pressure steam hose for construction, industry, oil drilling, refineries etc. When used for "hot" service (above +50 °C) it is recommended to use couplings with securing collar (interlock between ferrule/ clamp and coupling). Steam/Boss couplings (gr. 14) with HP clamps are recommended and bolts needs to be tightened after use. Swaged-on hydraulic inserts and ferrules can be used in certain situations. The following ferrules are recommended: 1/2" and 3/4" = 65403. 1" = 65403 or 65125. 1 1/4", 1 1/2" and 2" = 65125. For larger dimensions we recommend TESSPRESS HP couplings. Recrimping of ferrules may be necessary after use. Swaged-on couplings are not recommended for continuous service or operating in the upper limits with regard to pressure and/or temperature. Construction and building, Maritime/Ship, Mechanical industry, Oil and Gas. Black EPDM rubber. Steel cord and steel helix. Black EPDM rubber with red stripe, wrapped finish -40 °C - +203 °C. TESS Damp T-29-YEAR-17 BAR 203 °C. Hose couplings gr. 14, hose clamps gr. 16, TESSPRESS gr. 17 and gr. 5 T-29 has a steel helix in order to make it stiffer for certain applications. For continuous operation, consult TESS regarding lifetime. Max. recommended temperature is 203 °C, but for short periods up to 232 °C. Hose not to be bent near the coupling.
