Two hundred sixty feet high, typical of turn-of-the-century skyscrapers, this 1902 work by Osterling is highly ornamented with alternating bands of reddish-brown brick and white terra cotta. The top looks like a Venetian palace, with a massive cornice, stone balconies, and an elegant colonnade. The Arrott Building is currently under construction to be transformed into a 19 story hotel while preserving all of the beautiful features of the building, with 124 guest rooms and suites featuring brass fixtures and luxe textiles.
