Welcome to Prague! Whether you‘ve just landed with plane, arrived by train, bus or car, we have very important information about how to get to the city centre using all possible types of transport, without wasting more money than it’s necessary.
The airport is located on the northwest edge of Prague, about 20 kilometres (12 miles) from the centre of the metropolis. Your money can be changed in the currency exchange offices or kiosks situated in the airport. Important phone numbers include +420 220 111 888 (General info line - nonstop operation) and +420 220 115 005 (Lost and Found service).
If you‘ve just arrived at the airport, getting to the centre will take about twenty to thirty minutes depending on traffic (if you use a taxi or shuttle service you will find necessary information below). If you choose cheaper but less convenient public transport you have to expect fifty minutes on the road.
The bus is the cheapest way to get to the city centre. The disadvantage may be that you need to buy a bus ticket paid in Czech crowns or with credit card. To get the cash, you can use ATMs in the arrival halls of the airport. Or you can buy the actual ticket directly in a kiosk or at the information counter in both arrival halls (open from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.). Furthermore, in the vending machines, located next to the bus stop, or directly from the bus driver (it will cost you a few crowns more). The ticket price is 32 CZK for a transfer ticket, with which you can freely switch among bus, tram and subway for 90 minutes. On the shorter distance and duration of 30 minutes you can use the ticket for 24 CZK (with this ticket, however, it is not allowed to switch among the types of transport). If you have more luggages, you will pay 16 Czech crowns extra.
This is the most likely choice for most people because the BUS # 119 provides the fastest connec -
Museum Kampa is a museum of modern art, located in the historical center of Prague. The core collection consists of the art collection of Jan and Meda Mládek, who actively supported Czechoslovak non-conformist artists during their stay in exile in the second half of the 20th century. The permanent exhibition of the Museum is dedicated to the paintings and drawings of František Kupka, one of the pioneers of abstract art at the beginning of the 20th century, and the sculptures of the cubist sculptor Otto Gutfreund.
Museum Kampa also organizes many short–term exhibitions. Exhibition “VISIONS OF THE WORLD” presents private collection of contemporary world painting - works by Georg Baselitz, David Hockney, Andy Warhol and many more. Exhibition “The Half-Truth Wins” shows confrontation of the painting work of Pavel Reissenauer with his satirical drawings for the weekly Respekt.

tion to the historic city centre. Depending on the time of day, the bus runs every 7-20 minutes and gets you to subway line A. After boarding remember to „click“ the ticket. Get off at the station Veleslavín (journey from the airport to the subway takes about 15 minutes). Subway entrance is located few steps from the bus stop. The bus runs from 4:23 a.m. until 11:45 p.m. at night.
BUS # 100 connects the airport with the subway line B, get off at the final stop, which is called Zličín. BUS # 100 runs every 15 minutes throughout the day and every 30 minutes after 7 p.m. The ride takes about 18 minutes, but expect another 20-minute subway ride, if your goal is to get to the city centre (Zličín is the final stop of subway line B). Bus runs 5:41 a.m. to 11:36 p.m. hours.
Airport Express Bus service connects the airport with the Prague‘s Main Railway Station and runs every 30 minutes and the journey takes about 35 minutes. You can use the Prague public transport fares or special fares: Tickets for AE can be bought only from the driver for 60 crowns (no additional charge for luggage). AE runs 5:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
If you have to use public transport at night, the best option is the BUS # 510, which runs between midnight and 3:26 a.m. and connects the air-
-port with stop at Divoká Šárka. Afterwards take the TRAM # 51 which will go to the city centre. Night BUS # 510 runs every 30 minutes.
Companies of Taxi Praha and FIX are managing the taxi service from the Václav Havel Airport. Customers can enjoy free Wi-Fi, ensured availability of cars within 5 minutes of interest order in 24 hours a day, maximally 3-years old cars, advanced language skills of drivers, friendly demeanour, maintaining cleanliness and representative wear of vehicle drivers. Labelled taxis are waiting at the Václav Havel airport in two places – at Terminal 1 at the parking lot P1 EXPRESS and at Terminal 2 at the parking lot P2 EXPRESS - departures. Prices are not burdened with airport charges and therefore are considerably lower, while maintaining a high comfort of vehicles. One-time departure rate is 40 CZK and 1 km will cost 23.90 CZK (order taxi through dispatch call 14 014, +420 222 333 222, 729 331 133).
International trains stop at the central train station - Prague Main Railway Station. The station is directly connected to the subway station (line C), and is just a few steps away from the city centre, from Wenceslas Square. If you drive here after dark, we recommend you to go to Wenceslas Square subway (do not forget to buy a ticket). Most of the station is renovated and offers a modern look with plenty of stalls, shops and fast-food restaurants.
Florenc is the central bus station. Located in the heart of the city and directly adjacent to the subway station Florenc (it is a transfer station between subway lines B and C). As well as the main train station, Florenc underwent a costly renovation and now boasts with very pleasant and clean halls for arrival and departure, kiosks and fast food restaurants (Burger King, etc.). And most importantly, there are a large digital boards showing departure / arrivals times of buses and associated boarding platform.
Prague, like most European cities, suffers from very heavy traffic and lack of freely available parking spaces (the street with blue coloured areas are reserved for residents and you risk stripping off your car when you park there). That is why we recommend the use so-called P + R (Park and Ride) parking lot, located close to all major highways. More info on www.dpp.cz/en/parking.
The Prague subway consists of three lines - A (green), B (yellow) and C (red). Subway in Prague is designed so that it gets you to all historically and logistically important locations (or at least near). Subway is clear and many stations recently underwent large renovations.
accurate and its network covers the whole city. Price 32 CZK for a transfer ticket is very reasonable.

For over 1000 years, Prague has served as the political, cultural and economic centre of the Czech state. Having been the seat of two Holy Roman Emperors during the gothic and renaissance periods, it also had the status of the Holy Roman Empire capital. Prague’s history commenced in the year 870, although evidence shows the area had been inhabited since the Stone Age. The city flourished during the 14th century, under the reign of King Charles IV, who, among other deeds, ordered the building of the famous Charles Bridge or Saint Vitus Cathedral, the oldest gothic cathedral in central Europe, and Charles University, the oldest university in central Europe. Prague was then the third-largest city in Europe. Now home to some 1.2 million inhabitants, Prague became the capital of the newly set up Czechoslovakia in 1918, with the end of WW I and the dissolution of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. In 1992, Prague’s historic center became a UNESCO world heritage site, and is currently one of the world’s most popular tourist destinations.
The Powder Gate (Prašná brána) is a late-Gothic structure and one of the most important monuments of medieval Prague. It was here that the Royal Route began and where one of the main roads from Kutná Hora, where silver was mined into the royal treasury, led. The Powder Gate was built in place of the older Gate tower, related to the fortification of the Old Town of Prague from the time of Václav II‘s reign. The older tower was known as the Mountain Gate. The Powder Gate was designed largely as a representative symbol as well as a customs collection point. Its construction began in 1475. From about 1715 it served as a firepowder warehouse, hence the name ‚‘Powder‘‘. During the Prussia siege of Prague in 1757, the tower was considerably destroyed. Today‘s appearance was not acquired by the tower until 18781886 for a fresh look treatment, led by architect Josef Mocker. The draft was the Old Town Bridge Tower.

The Old Town Square of the Old Town Orloj (Staroměstský orloj) are medieval astronomical clocks located on the south side of the Old Town Hall tower in Prague.
The first written reference to Orloj dates back to 1410.The clock is made up of several parts - apart from an astronomical and calendar plate, it is fitted with the mechanism of twelve apostles, who appear in two small windows every entire hour (9.00 - 11p.m.). In a parade of apostles, another mannequin on the sides of the clock comes alive in mechanical motion - the reaper ringing, turning the hourglass, indicating to thestanding Turk that his time is up.
He‘s shaking his head away. Vanity and Lakomec behave similarly. The sought-after Orloj is part of the historic centre of Prague, belonging to the UNESCO list of cultural monuments.

The Czech Republic’s capital is full of amazing sights of great value. But Charles Bridge definitely belongs among the TOP 5 most amazing ones. Not only is this medieval building one of the most famous bridges in the world, but it is also inseparably connected to the most glamorous era of Prague and – last but not least – it just might be the most beautiful bridge in Europe. And we are not exaggerating at all. Charles Bridge is 516 meters long, 9.5 meters wide, 13 meters high, and stands on 15 pillars. It’s also the part of the so-called Royal Route.

It was founded by Dr. Salomon Hugo Lieben, historian, and Dr. August Stein, a representative of the Czech-Jewish movement and later chairman of the Prague Jewish Community. It was supposed to collect documents on the history, traditions and habits of the Jewish population in Bohemia and Moravia. The Jewish Museum owns rich collections of silver, textiles and has one of the most extensive Jewish artefacts in the world. It contains 40 000 artefacts and 100 000 books. It is unique not only for the number of the artefacts, but above all for the fact that they were collected in a single integral territory, i.e. Bohemia and Moravia.

It is one of the most dominant landmarks of the modern city of Prague and a national cultural monument situated just above steep slopes of the Žižkov hill. An integral part of the Memorial is the largest equestrian sculpture in Central Europe, of Jan Žižka of Trocnov, created by the sculptor Bohumil Kafka. The Memorial was built in 1929-1938 to honour those who participated in the struggle for the establishment of the Czechoslovak Republic (the National Liberation Memorial). During the Nazi of occupation in 1939-1945, it served as a military material warehouse. It was modified and extended once more after 1945. After 1948, it was misused for the Communist regime propaganda.

A small romantic island called Kampa positioned on the Vltava River in the centre of Prague is scenic place offering a walk among small ancient picturesque houses. In fact it is not a natural island as it was separated from the Lesser Town by an artificial mill raceway called Čertovka (Devil´s Creek). The group of houses among which the Čertovka flows is known as the Prague´s Venice. Natural alluvial deposits and made up grounds material, gradually extended the area of the island especially after the great fire of the Lesser Town and the Castle in 1541. Today, it is a place where the Kampa Museum has its seat. Here, you can see collections of 20th century artworks

Hradčany, Nový Svět, Prague 1
Many people do not have any idea hat almost in the centre of Prague there is a small town with its own poetry and identity. The Nový Svět area is a kind of a small district in the immediate vicinity of the Prague Castle, full of picturesque corners and harmony. Actually, it was a suburb of the Castle Area (Hradčany) that was founded in the mid-14th century along an old road heading the village of Střešovice. In 1360, it became a part of Hradčany by decision of the emperor Charles IV. It was integrated to the designed city fortification system. The origin of this part of Hradčany is not exactly known, but it was probably a forecourt of the Prague Castle positioned on a gradually filled ravine and the Brusnice stream valley.
The Vrtba Garden is one of the Baroque gardens that complete the beauty of Petřín. It consists of terraces at three height levels that are connected by wide staircases. That‘s why it is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It is accessible from Karmelitská Street. The fairy-tale environment enchants with beautiful flower beds, antique sculptures, an aviary, fountains, a vantage point and the studio of Mikoláš Aleš. The Vrtba Garden offers a beautiful view of the Prague Castle and the roofs of the houses of Lesser Town (Malá Strana).

Captain America: The New World is an anticipated addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, scheduled to premiere in the first half of February. Julius Onah, director of the decent drama Luce and the not-so-nourishing sci-fi The Cloverfield Paradox, will direct.
It star Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson, who takes up the shield of Captain America after the events of Falcon and Winter Soldier. The newly elected President of the United States, Thaddeus Ross, will be portrayed by Harrison Ford, for whom this is his debut within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (he renamed the role after William Hurt, who died in 2022). This choice promises to bring the authority and depth that Ford traditionally brings to his roles to the character. The plot of the film revolves around an international incident that the new Captain America must face after meeting President Ross.
Sam Wilson finds himself facing a global conspiracy, the uncovering of which is crucial to preventing a world crisis. This plot suggests a blend of political thriller and superhero action movie, which could bring a breath of fresh air to a franchise that has struggled to come up with anything that feels refreshing in recent years (the last Marvel movies have felt mostly
like a carbon copy, which has been reflected in their weaker sales in theaters).
The cast is rounded out by Danny Ramirez, Shira Haas, Xosha Roquemore, Carl Lumbly, Giancarlo Esposito, Liv Tyler, Takehiro Hira and Tim Blake Nelson.
However, as it happens, nothing was entirely easy and the production of the film faced its fair share of challenges during filming. According to some sources, the test screenings were received with reserve, leading to the decision to reshoot certain key scenes. These adjustments should ensure that the final product meets the high expectations of fans. Captain America: The New World has the potential to offer not only riveting action, but also a deeper look at what it means to be a hero in the modern world. With a new shield bearer and current geopolitical themes, the film could resonate with audiences looking for more than just a traditional superhero story.

The Monkey is a new horror film from director Osgood Perkins, based on Stephen King‘s short story of the same name. This dark tale promises a chilling experience that only a master of suspense and terror can offer. The plot follows two brothers who return to their ancestral home after the death of their father. There they discover an old toy - a mechanical cymbal monkey - that holds a disturbing secret. When the monkey comes to life, it sets off a chain of strange and tragic events that cast a shadow over their lives.
Director Perkins, known for his flair for atmospheric and psychological horror films like „Gretel & Hansel,“ brings his unique style to the film. The Monkey focuses not only on the scary moments, but also on the psychological depth that gradually reveals how far the roots of evil can go. The film plays with themes of family ties, hereditary trauma, and unsettling coincidences that lead the viewer to ask: Is the mechanical monkey just a simple toy or an instrument of supernatural power?

The permanent exhibition at the Musoleum Gallery features some of the most famous works by David Černý. The space, covering 1,200 square meters and spread over five floors, is filled with the latest pieces, but it also takes visitors back to the beginnings of the artist‘s work. Among the artworks, visitors will find installations that the public has never seen before, as well as displayed designs and architectural projects.
David Černý: He was born and raised in former Czechoslovakia and „knows better than anyone else what oppression means.” With the fall of the Iron Curtain, there was a radical transformation in his hometown—Prague, where he still lives. Černý himself says that he „is not a political animal,“ yet his artworks, unvarnished and confrontational, have everything to do with the truth of the times. According to him, his older works are „more relevant than ever and clearly show that while time changes, the human brain does not.”
Černý, according to many, masters „the art of balancing between controversy and humor like no one else.“ He first gained fame in 1991 when he painted a Soviet tank pink in his native Prague as a war memorial. Since then, his „acts of artistic civil disobedience,“ installations, and
exhibitions have continued to provoke reactions around the world.
This year, Černý sparked discussion with two butterfly sculptures placed on the facade of the Máj department store on Prague‘s Národní Street. Their bodies mimic a Spitfire fighter plane. The sculptures were installed by climbers a week ago. Prague‘s heritage officials have permitted the placement of the sculptures on Máj for one year. Shortly after the installation of the sculptures, some experts criticized them. The Club for Old Prague stated that the design shows signs of typical kitsch, and its overtly appealing motif aims to fascinate while also evoking emotional memories of Czecho- slovak aviators. Černý rejects this criticism.

The exhibition Tutankhamun - His Tomb and Treasures is one of the world‘s greatest archaeological discoveries, giving visitors a glimpse into the mysterious and fascinating world of ancient Egypt. This project offers not only the opportunity to explore the treasures of Pharaoh Tutankhamun, but also to experience the adventure of discovering his tomb.
More than 100 years ago, in 1922, archaeologist Howard Carter exclaimed the memorable phrase „I see wonderful things!“ when he discovered the tomb of Pharaoh Tutankhamun. That moment is now materialized in an interactive exhibition that conveys the same wonder and fascination that Carter experienced.
The exhibit features more than 1,000 artifacts that not only show the size and priceless value of Tutankhamun‘s golden treasure, but also reveal the historical era in which this young pharaoh lived. Visitors have the unique opportunity to see detailed replicas of Tutankhamun‘s tomb as it was found, including the original arrangement of the artifacts. This realistic depiction faithfully replicates the condition in which the tomb was discovered more than 100 years ago, providing an experience that is not only educational but also deeply emotional.
The exhibition has been prepared by an international team of experts, inclu-
ding scientists, archaeologists, artists and craftsmen, who have come together to create an impressive portrait of an ancient civilization and its ruler. The emphasis was on the most accurate reconstructions and authentic depictions of Egyptian culture. In addition to the traditional exhibits, the exhibition is enriched with immersive and augmented reality that literally immerses visitors and transports them to the time of the pharaohs, creating an even more powerful experience.
This exhibition also includes a Czech exhibition of the National Museum‘s Egyptological collections, which adds another dimension to the overall view of this fascinating culture. The exhibition is open daily from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, with opening hours extending to 7:30 pm on weekends.
Seven out of ten European online customers buy goods in e-shops outside their home country, 57 percent even outside Europe. The reason is mainly better prices, wider offer or cheaper transport. Increasingly, they also make decisions based on how they can return goods if they do not like or fit the size.
Of course, this does not mean that customers give up on domestic production. After all, with that, all the shops could clos e. But the foundation is clear - you need to be assertive and be able to offer something unique to your customers that they can‘t buy elsewhere.
And we have prepared such tips for you on the following pages. We chose carefully and promise that in each of the presented establishments you can get something that they would not offer anywhere else. We wish you good hunting! ml.

would like to kill you, don‘t take it personally. Prague residents are always in a hurry and still seem to be in a bad mood. In short, it works like that here. But otherwise they are fine!
You can also recognize true Praguers by ignoring the traffic lights. In short, he is looking for every possible space that will be offered to him on the road, and when he sees the opportunity, he immediately crosses the street. Red, green, it doesn‘t matter.
The Czech Republic is well known for its excellent beer, and the Czechs have certainly never concealed themselves by being able to „send a few pieces“ to themselves. But if you with such a Praguer for a beer, don‘t be fooled. “Going out for one beer” is really just a phrase. Every Czech drinks an average of 142 liters of beer per year, while during an average session, the trained Pragueer handles some 8 pieces and is not even out of his breath.
ps every minute of the day. And this also applies to weekends. It can only be Monday morning and the right Praguer already knows what he will do on the weekend.
Although Prague has one of the best transport links in Europe, if we talk about public transport (train, metro, tram, bus), Prague citizens are still obsessed with driving everywhere. And even though they have to wait in the traffic jams for an hour.
Praguers are vigilant because someone keeps putting them something on the street or wants money from them. And this is really annoying them. Therefore, when you stop them, they immediately go into defense mode and can look very dull. Don‘t let this scare you. As soon as he realizes that you just want some advice, they change completely and almost leads you to the place. They don‘t seem that, but they‘re sweeties!
The newly reconstructed museum offers visitors a look into the history of the military in the Czech Republic from the earliest times to the present day. More than seven thousand collection items are housed in exceptional exhibition spaces. The exhibits are complemented by dioramas, audiovisual elements and QR codes. For the youngest visitors, the museum offers quizzes, cut-out games and haptic objects. The first part of the exhibition is dedicated to the historical period up to 1740. The next exhibition presents the historical period from 1740 to 1914. In the exhibition of the First World War 1914 - 1918, the connecting motif is a train that imaginatively takes the visitor to the trenches. The next part of the exhibition focuses on the period 1918 to 1938, starting with the return of Czechoslovak legionaries to Czechoslovakia, continuing with the formation of the Czechoslovak Legion. The final section is devoted to the political situation in the 1930s. The extensive exhibition 1938 - 1948 covers the period after Munich, the Second World War and the post-war period. There are unique objects on display, such as Otakar Jaroš‘s pistols or the personal belongings of paratroopers. Another part of the exhibiti-
on deals with the events after 1948, when Czechoslovakia found itself behind the Iron Curtain. The final part is devoted to the period from November 1989 to the present day and the involvement of our soldiers in foreign operations.

The Hanička Fortress belongs to the system of pre-war fortifications built in the 1930s mainly against Germany. It consis-
ted of six combat buildings underground connected by hundreds of metres of corridors and halls. The massive halls could hold a considerable amount of supplies, which would allow the garrison to fight even in the event of encirclement for several months. The underground can show the visitor a modern fully equipped shelter, the surface objects and part of the entrance exhibition then takes us back many decades to the time when our grandfathers and great-grandfathers, with weapons in hand, awaited the enemy in these fortresses. In 2006 Hanička was declared a cultural monument. In the exhibition you can see the weapons used by our army in 1938 and after the Second World War. There is also a small collection of ammunition and uniforms from both periods of our history. 98 steps lead down to the underground at a depth of 20 to 36 metres below ground level. All the corridors, shafts and halls are original, only the equipment comes from the modern reconstruction.

The massive building of the Clam-Gallas Palace in Husova Street in Prague’s Old Town lies at the crossroads of the important medieval link between Prague Castle and the centre of the Old Town, also called the Royal Route, and the ancient road leading to Vyšehrad.
The intersection of Charles and Hus Streets is reached by the southern part of the facade of the Clam-Gallas Palace, one of the most important Baroque palace buildings in Prague. It is a magnificent example of a monumental aristocratic residence situated in a small medieval-type urban development. The palace was built in the High Baroque style on the site of an older building in 1714-18 according to a design by J. B. Fischer of Erlach for Jan Václav Count Gallas. Among others, M. B. Braun and his workshop contributed to the decoration of the building (portals with atlants, statues of ancient gods in the roof part, cherubs inside and vases on the staircase), the painter C. Carlone, stonemason D. A. Rappa and the plasterers R. Bolla, S. Bussi and G. Fiumberti.
In one of the three courtyards there is a fountain with a statue of Triton by M. B. Braun, protected by a Baroque grille.
Both the Gallas and the Clam-Gallas family, the owners of the Palace, were lovers and patrons of the arts; their Palace was thus a famous cultural centre in Prague, where concerts were held – W. A. Mozart (1787) and L. van Beethoven (1796) performed here, theatre was performed here and exhibitions of paintings were held. In a niche of the Palace‘s enclosure wall on Mariánské Square there is a fountain with an allegorical sculpture of the Vltava River by V. Prachner. The northern wing of the palace was raised by one storey to accommodate the anticipated construction of a theatre hall. However, this certainly interesting plan was eventually abandoned and the resulting under-roof space was then used as a hayloft.

ous crown jewels. At Karlštejn Castle, you can explore not only the Bohemian Crown Jewels and the collection of holy relics, but also experience your own Day at Karlštejn Castle.
Founded in 1348, Karlštejn Castle occupies a unique position among Czech castles. It was built by the Czech King and Roman Emperor Charles IV as a place to store royal treasures, especially collections of holy relics and imperial crown jewels. In 1355, Charles IV was already staying at the castle, supervising its completion and the decoration of the interiors, especially the Castle chapels.
The present-day appearance of the Castle was shaped by the purist reconstruction in the 19th century led by Josef Mocker. The first sightseeing tour (Imperial Residence of Charles IV) includes the Imperial Palace and the Treasury and the Treasury in the Marian Tower. The second tour (Karlštejn Castle Chapel) takes you to the Great Tower with the famous Chapel of the Holy Cross with panel paintings from the workshop of the master Theodoric. A tour of the Great To-
Apart from the architecture, visitors come here today to admire the replica of St. Wenceslas’ Crown. At the beginning of the Hussite wars, the Bohemian Crown Jewels were transported to Karlštejn Castle for security reasons, and they remained there with short breaks for almost 200 years. Karlštejn Castle also served as the subject of Jaroslav Vrchlický’s play Night at Karlštejn, which was the basis for the 1973 musical film of the same name. Since 1918, Karlštejn Castle has been owned by the Czech Republic and is open to the public.

Bring it to the table, let the Truth be revealed! Take a trip back to a time when portions were fairer, ducks meatier, and beer more drinkable. With today’s tip, you will visit the unique and historic U Pravdů restaurant, where beer has been on tap since 1888.
You can visit this Czech delicacy while strolling through Prague. Just choose the silver tourist trail, whose signs are stamped in the curbs and will reliably lead you to Žitná Street. As an attraction beyond the tourist guide, you can take a photo at the house where the world-famous composer Antonín Dvořák lived, as this house is also in Žitná Street directly opposite the U Pravdů restaurant.
The total capacity of the restaurant is 68 seats and it is divided into 3 parts. Main hall, bar and lounge, with a capacity of 42, 8 and 18 guests. On rainy summer days the garden in the courtyard of the house is open with a capacity of about 50 seats.
The history of the U Pravdů restaurant dates back to 1888, when Mr. František Pravda asked for permission to build a gazebo in which he would brew beer according to the law of the brewery. References to the house in which the restaurant is located date back to the 14th century, when the house was successively called U Lajblů, U Chlupů, U Tikánů or Kalivodský. During the Renaissance, it was beautifully decorated, and its
brewery façade with a gable attic was an ornament of Žitná Street.
In the U Pravdů restaurant you will agree with those who enjoy that beautiful time of stylish lamps, carved chairs, old bicycles, black and white photos and traditional Czech cuisine, which was best served by the mothers of Czech grandmothers. The current interior, which has been used since the turn of the millennium, is similar to the original look of the time. Most of the restaurant’s accessories are original or historical. The restaurant serves Pilsner, Polička, semi-dark Ferdinand and unfiltered Unětice. The interior will delight lovers of the First Republic, in whose style it is decorated. Lots of small details and details will make a proper feast a real experience for all senses.
And what delicacies does this Old Bohemian restaurant offer, among others? Delicious roast pork ribs, roast duck, rabbit on spinach and bacon, pork, dumplings, very, goulash or meat skewer. That is just a modest list of what you will be licking your lips for at the U Pravdů restaurant. And believe me, this is no tourist trap. Even the biggest Czech patriots will be thrilled to try the local cuisine.
And we have to mention the helpful service that will advise you. After all, Czech cuisine is quite specific, so do not be afraid to have anything recommended. Personally, we would bet that whatever you choose, you will not regret it, but you cannot give anything for asking.
So, if you intend to visit an honest old Bohemian restaurant while wandering around Prague, you will not go wrong at the U Pravdů restaurant. Whether we are talking about food, drink or the overall concept, everything here is exactly as it should be. The place is in a great location, you will feel the atmosphere of a traditional Czech restaurant in the best possible sense of the word and you will be delighted by its offer. This is what a proper cultural and gastronomic experience should look like.

You‘re in Prague for the first time and don‘t know where you and your friends can enjoy a professionally shot beer? Then hurrah to Rudolfino‘s popular brewery, which not only offers a pleasant setting , but especially serves the very perfect Pilsen beer. At Rudolfino‘s it has a great taste of golden mocha with an honest foam vintage so you certainly don‘t fall short of visiting here. The dining menu awaits you with both classics of Czech cuisine (ancient Czech roast duck, sirloin,on cream, fried “syrecky”) and various kinds of meats (pork, beef, poultry, chicken) and something lighter (Ceasar‘s salad, roasted goat cheese). We recommend going on an excellent lunch menu.

A place where nothing is forbidden and where even the biggest lambs become nocturnal animals. If Mirek Dušín were to enter this establishment, he would become a rock star. You want to experience a really wild party that you cannot get home from until dawn? Harley’s Bar will not disappoint.
Welcome to one of the most exciting clubs in Prague. And this is no newcomer. Harley’s Bar in Dlouhá Street is now a legend, and its patrons cannot get enough of it. They have good reason to keep coming back. Actually, they have several reasons.
Reason number one: You love rock and independence. Both of which are reflected in the atmosphere of the place in the best possible way. If you have a problem with one or the other, move on
down the block. This place would make you feel like Alice in Wonderland after you have ingested the sponges.
The second reason: the drink menu is really great. The cocktails are the backbone of the place and it is no problem to agree with the bartender on almost anything if he has on hand. A bonus is the excellent prices for a similar location.
And the third reason? Absolutely luxurious location! Harley’s Bar is just a few steps away from the Old Town Square. In practice, this means that it does not matter what time your excursion to this “Hell on Earth” (pun intended) ends. You will always be close to the various modes of public transport and the swarm of taxi drivers that regularly circle the club until the morning.
You will have an assault on your senses during the evening. And not only with great music and other visitors (there’s a lot to see), but also thanks to the bartenders who do not like to bore their customers and therefore regularly organize spectacular fire shows. And it does not stop there. If the ladies take a liking to the bartender, he might just put Jack in your mouth from a bottle right on the bar. And do not worry, gentlemen, it is not just for the fairer sex. Harley’s has its fair share of feisty female bartenders.
So, what do you mean by Harley’s Bar? Well, it is a place where no one is bored, where you will easily kick back one drink after another, where you can dance on the table on weekends and weekdays, and where the bartenders party with you. It is a club that brings out a whole other side of people. It is a place to party or have a birthday party. Why? Because they will be as wild as the place itself – the bartenders will chain you up, tie you to the wall, pour ice in your pants, spray you with whipped cream, in short, they will prove to you that they enjoy their work and you will have fun with them.
So, if you prefer a rock blast to pop pomade and you are sick of all those glitzy venues with shamrocks in tight pants and girls looking like plastic mannequins, head to Harley’s Bar, which will offer you the atmosphere of a proper American rock venue. The attentive service, with the added bonus of a midnight fire show, special drinks, music all night that will get everyone rocking, and an atmosphere you will not forget. Just a party that will get you in the mood for the next day.
