TITLE SPONSOR The Zubin Foundation has taken its charity initiatives to another level. Mrs Purviz R. THE ZUBIN FOUNDATION Friends, thank you for joining us this evening. Our theme this year is Shaping Futures. Every day, The Zubin Foundation works with children, youth, women and the elderly from Hong Kong's low-income ethnically diverse communities. While every journey is unique, they each share a common hope: A hope for a better future. For our clients, poverty combined with the exclusion from being a racial, religious and linguistic minority, means many suffer alone and are unable to access mainstream services or NGOs. Our mission is to reduce their suffering and provide them with opportunities. We do this by offering services, and also working together with Government and other NGOs to refer out and receive referrals in. The stories you will hear tonight remind us that meaningful change is possible when support, opportunity and a chance to thrive is given. Tonight that is our focus - that the future is brighter when we work together. I am deeply grateful to Auntie Purviz, and the late Uncle Rusy. Because of them, every dollar raised will go directly towards our work. FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE As Chair of the Fundraising Committee, it is my pleasure to welcome you to The Zubin Foundation’s Annual Fundraising Dinner 2026. This year’s theme, Shaping Futures, reflects the hope and opportunity that meaningful support can create. Every day, The Zubin Foundation works with children, youth, women and seniors to overcome barriers and build brighter futures. Through counselling, education support, youth development, elder care and community outreach, lives are transformed, and potential is unlocked. This important work is only possible because of the support of people like you. I am deeply grateful to our Title Sponsor, Purviz R. MASTER OF CEREMONIES Maitreyi Karanth is a Hong Kong-based stand-up comedian, actor, and philanthropist. As the only female comedian delivering sold-out one-woman shows, she brings laughter and heart to the stage. Offstage, she leads the KOMA KARANTH FOUNDATION, building homes and hope for underprivileged communities in the Philippines. Her TEDx talk, “Age is Not Just a Number, It’s a Journey,” has inspired over 300,000 viewers. The Zubin Foundation supports elderly individuals experiencing loneliness and uncertainty about the future. What begins as a visit to our weekly Senior Socials gatherings held at 3 locations across Hong Kong evolves into friendship and a renewed purpose. Having faced significant personal and financial challenges, many carry mental burdens quietly into old age. Though each story is different, we help the elderly stay active, connected, and hopeful. In addition to weekly Senior Socials, they receive free counselling, health monitoring and home visits for mobility-impaired or end-of-life individuals. We provide companionship, support and practical assistance. Above all, we help elderly people look forward to tomorrow, knowing they are valued, cared for and not alone. HK$15,000 funds one month of health check-ups for 200 elderly individuals. We aim for 24 months to be covered.

The Zubin Foundation supports children and families affected by domestic violence, trauma, and emotional distress. What begins as a call for help from a woman quickly cascades into trauma assistance given to an entire family. Vulnerable children witness conflict and instability, leaving lasting effects on their emotional well-being and development. Every family's circumstances are different, but our Children's Counselling Service helps children process their experiences in a safe and supportive environment. We provide free one-to-one counselling, and support for parents who experience trauma. Above all, we help children and families heal, giving them the opportunity to build a brighter future. HK$10,000 supports one child with 25 counselling sessions and family support for one year. We aim to help 30 children annually. Education, skills building, and employment are essential to breaking the cycle of intergenerational poverty. Many ethnically diverse young people have talent and ambition but lack access to training and opportunities that prepare them for a rapidly changing world of work. As technology continues to evolve, we are equipping young people with practical skills in areas such as AI, financial literacy and more. Through training, mentorship and career-readiness programmes, we help them build confidence, expand their opportunities and prepare for sustainable employment. Above all, we help young people develop the skills needed to shape their futures and contribute to Hong Kong's future workforce. HK$5,000 helps provide 5 youth with training to update their skills. We want to provide this support for 50 youth.
