THE SMELL OF FRESHLY BAKED BREAD
This rustic bread is perfect for everyday meals. With its crispy crust and moist crumb, it’s a versatile favorite that pairs well with everything from soups and salads to a cheese platter. The dough comes together quickly and rises overnight in the refrigerator, so you can easily bake fresh bread the next day - without stress.
INGREDIENTS
3 dl water
20 g fresh yeast
200 g quark
200 g rye flour (approx. 4 dl)
400 g wheat flour (approx. 7 dl)
2 tsp sugar
2 tsp coarse salt
INSTRUCTIONS
Dissolve the yeast in lukewarm water. Add the remaining ingredients and knead the dough thoroughly. Pour the dough into a bread tin or a proofing basket. Let it rise in the refrigerator overnight. If using a proofing basket, gently turn the dough out onto a baking tray. Brush with water and bake for about 40 minutes at 200°C (392°F).

TULIP CARE
When you bring fresh tulips home, they can sometimes droop quickly. To help them stay upright and last longer, try this trick: Leave the tulips wrapped in paper or plastic and place them in water for a few hours before arranging them in a vase. This allows the stems to absorb water while being supported, helping them firm up and stand straight. Once they’ve perked up, you can unwrap them and arrange them as you like.
BONUS TIPS
• Trim the stems at an angle before placing them in water.
• Use cold water and change it every couple of days.
• Keep tulips away from direct sunlight and fruit (which releases ethylene gas that can age flowers faster)
