Da un punto di vista

tecnologico, l’International Style potrebbe essere interpretato come il momento in cui l’involucro edilizio dimentica alcune delle sue valenze funzionali tradizionali (inerzia termica e capacità strutturale) per divenire essenzialmente una pelle architettonica strumentale a gestire le relazioni visive derivanti dal progetto. Infatti, da un lato, lo sviluppo delle tecnologie attive per il controllo del microclima indoor – legato anche all’idea dell’inesauribilità e della convenienza delle risorse energetiche – e, dall’altro, il sempre più applicato modello di struttura “puntiforme” (trave - pilastro) per la gestione della trasmissione delle forze negli consentono agli architetti di ipotizzare soluzioni costruttive a stimolo dell’innovazione che effettivamente si realizza in forma di trasferimento tecnologico da settori industriali evoluti e ad alto contenuto prestazionale – specialmente quello aeronautico – verso l’industria delle costruzioni.

Partendo dall’assunto che la ricerca del nuovo trova una più facile applicazione nelle soluzioni con assemblaggio a secco, i progettisti introducono nuovi materiali – nuovi con riferimento al mondo delle costruzioni che, per quasi duecento anni, se si escludono rarissime eccezioni, era sfuggito alla rivoluzione industriale diventando emblema dell’artigianalità nel fare principalmente due obiettivi: la massima trasparenza visiva e la perché, come ben noto, il vetro – emblema della trasparenza – ha Con la crisi energetica degli anni Settanta del secolo scorso, la ricerca applicata all’involucro edilizio ha conosciuto nuovi stimoli, dando centralità proprio all’involucro rispetto alla sostenibilità energetica. In particolare troppo spesso i nuovi componenti vengono reale e adeguata integrazione. È invece l’approccio integrato, che può essere gestito solo attraverso una progettazione olistica, assemblato dall’industria delle costruzioni e un’architettura.

Du point de vue

technologique, l’International Style pourrait être interprété comme le moment où l’enveloppe des bâtiments oublie certaines de ses fonctions traditionnelles (inertie thermique et capacité structurelle) pour devenir essentiellement une peau architecturale servant à gérer les relations visuelles issues du projet. En effet, le développement des technologies pour un contrôle actif du microclimat indoor - également lié à l’idée d’inépuisabilité et de structure “punctiforme” (poutres - piliers) de plus en plus appliqué pour la gestion de la transmission des forces dans les bâtiments, d’autre part, permettent de réduire considérablement les contraintes dans les projets de façades. Ces nouvelles possibilités laissent aux architectes la liberté d’envisager des solutions structurelles stimulant l’innovation qui se manifeste sous forme de transfert technologique des secteurs industriels les plus avancés – l’aéronautique en particulier - vers celui de l’industrie de la construction. En donnant pour acquis que la recherche d’innovation trouve plus facilement des applications dans les solutions prévoyant un assemblage à sec, les architectes introduisent de nouveaux matériaux – nouveaux en référence au monde de la construction qui, savoir-faire artisanal – ou de nouvelles solutions d’assemblage.

Celles-ci visaient principalement deux objectifs : la plus grande paradoxalement d’objectifs antithétiques car le verre – symbole de la transparence – a une masse volumique voisine de celle du béton. l’enveloppe des bâtiments a connu un nouvel essor, en attribuant un rôle central à l’enveloppe dans le cadre de la durabilité énergétique. principalement des composites mais pas seulement, le carbone, la avons travaillé pour améliorer les performances des composants de l’enveloppe pendant la période d’utilisation de l’objet construit (il s’agit de matériaux garantis dans le temps). recherche connaissent actuellement d’autres développements sur de nombreux fronts, avec différentes possibilités d’expérimentation même si, dans bien des cas, il n’y a pas encore réellement d’applications au secteur de la construction. Naturellement, nous travaillons pour améliorer les performances des matériaux qui sont déjà employés couramment, par exemple, en réduisant leur poids et leur épaisseur pour les mêmes performances (matériaux renforcés de d’entretien (surfaces photocatalytiques) et augmenter leur durabilité (sols en ciment perméable). Mais l’un des domaines les plus intéressants et qui pourrait réellement révolutionner non seulement l’esthétique mais aussi les performances des bâtiments, est celui des matériaux bidimensionnels. Nous entendons par le terme “bidimensionnels” les matériaux composés d’une couche unique de

From a technological

viewpoints, the International Style could be interpreted as that moment when a building shell abandons some of its conventional functional purposes (heat inertia and structural capacity), in order to become an architectural skin designed to handle any visual relations deriving from the project. controlling the indoor microclimate - linked with the idea of an endless supply of convenient energy resources - and, on the other, the increasingly widely applied model of a beam-andcolumn structure for handling the conveying of forces inside buildings make it easier to notably reduce design constraints when creating facades. These new opportunities allow architects to come up with construction solutions promoting innovation based on the transfer of technology from cutting-edge, highperformance industrial sectors - notably aeronautical industry to the construction industry.

Working on the assumption that research into developing new features, architects introduce either new materials - new in relation to the building world, which, for almost 200 years (barring some very rare exceptions), was unaffected by the Industrial Revolution and came to symbolise craftsmanship - or new assembly methods.

These have mainly two aims: maximum visual transparency and maximum physical lightness. They are obviously paradoxically antithetical because, as is well-known, glass - the epitome of received fresh input, as attention focused on shells in relation to energy sustainability.

Along with the introduction of innovative materials - notably (but not only) composite materials: carbon, glass-resin, reinforced polymers etc. – work focused on improving the performance of the various components of a building’s shell while the construction was actually in use (long-lasting materials).

Dans ce cas, pourquoi le PVC a-t-il eu si mauvaise presse ces dernières années ?

La réputation des plastiques en général, et du PVC en particulier, a considérablement souffert ces dernières décennies. Des restrictions d’utilisation du PVC dans des applications de construction auraient non seulement des conséquences économiques négatives, mais également des effets encore plus désastreux sur le plan social, notamment pour la disponibilité de logements abordables”.

In effetti, se si analizza la storia moderna della residenza nella cultura occidentale si potrebbe iperbolicamente affermare che l’ultima vera e diffusa innovazione che ha cambiato la qualità dell’abitare sia stata la dotazione all’interno dei moduli abitativi di uno spazio dedicato al bagno dotato di acqua corrente. Sin dall’epoca romana la domus si caratterizza come sistema di spazi specializzati/monofunzionali organizzati intorno ad uno o più spazi connettivi. In epoca Medioevale invece ci si è rivolti verso modelli in cui non vi erano spazi connettivi ma semplicemente una successione di ambienti funzionalmente e/o esteticamente caratterizzati.

Through 30/3/2014 www.micfaenza.org Une double exposition dédiée à Arturo Martini, artiste majeur de la sculpture italienne du XXème siècle, a été réalisée grâce à la collaboration entre la Cassa di Risparmio de Bologne et la Fondation du Musée International de la Céramique de Faenza. Dans le Palais Fava de Bologne, sont exposées les grandes terres cuites à exemplaire unique qui, réalisées directement par le maître entre 1928 et 1932, ont été acquises récemment par la Fondation Carisbo.

Parmi elles on trouve la Mère folle de 1929 et Dédale et Icare de 1937. Au MIC de Faenza l'exposition, organisée par Claudia Casali, présente une cinquantaine d’œuvres qui évoquent la poétique et l'harmonie que Martini exprime dans ses œuvres féminines et la recherche formelle qui accompagne sa créativité durant ces dernières années.

Les œuvres du MIC sont en dialogue avec celles du Palais Fava et complètent la vision artistique du maître en exaltatnt les matériaux qu'il utilise : la céramique, le bronze, le bois, le marbre, la pierre et le plâtre.

Nel Palazzo Fava di Bologna, a cura di Nico Stringa, sono in mostra le grandi terrecotte a esemplare unico che, realizzate direttamente dal maestro tra il 1928 e il 1932, sono state acquisite recentemente dalla Fondazione Carisbo. Tra queste anche la Madre folle del 1929 e Dedalo e Icaro del 1937.

Al MIC di Faenza la rassegna, curata da Claudia Casali, presenta una cinquantina di opere che evocano la poetica e l’armonia che Martini esprime nelle opere muliebri e la ricerca formale che accompagna la sua creatività negli ultimi anni. Le opere del MIC sono in dialogo con quelle di Palazzo Fava e completano la visione artistica del maestro dando rilievo ai materiali da lui utilizzati: la ceramica, il bronzo, il legno, il marmo, la pietra e il gesso.

Du 4 au 8 novembre prochains, les salons BATIMAT, Interclima+Elec et Idéo Bain se réunissent et investissent les 9 halls de Paris Nord Villepinte pour former la première plateforme internationale du Bâtiment et de l’Architecture, et accueillir près de 2 700 exposants du monde entier. Performance énergétique et bâtiment à basse consommation, accessibilité et confort d’usage des bâtiments, ville de demain et architecture, avec Londres en tant que ville à l’honneur de BATIMAT, et dimension technologique du bâtiment sont les thèmes forts de ce nouvel ensemble.

Deux importants événements célèbrent l’architecture en valorisant le savoir-faire des architectes. L’exposition digitale BATIMAT In Situ, située dans le hall 5b, présente 50 bâtiments remarquables réalisés récemment au sein du Grand Paris.

Simultanément, 6 parcours guidés d’une sélection d’ouvrages de BATIMAT In Situ sont proposés dans le cadre de BATIMAT OFF. Ces parcours mettent en avant l’innovation constructive, la qualité architecturale, d’aménagement et d’innovation écologique des différents bâtiments.

Autre grand événement organisé au cœur d’Interclima+Elec : l’Energy Performance + Architecture Award, qui récompense un architecte pour son approche énergétique. Cette année, le prix est attribué à l’architecte allemand Stefan Behnisch, du cabinet d’architecture BEHNISCH ARCHITEKTEN. Il fait partie des pionniers de l’architecture durable et n’hésite pas à parler aujourd’hui d’une architecture “climatique et environnementale”.

ModesDeBains est l’événement majeur d’Idéo Bain consacré aux produits et aux innovations des fabricants et met en scène 20 solutions techniques parmi les plus performantes des industriels dans un espace de 300 m2, conçu avec l’architecte Fabrice Knoll.

The world construction event for the building and architecture industries, the Batimat, Interclima+Elec and Idéo Bain shows are being hosted this year in nine pavilions at Paris Nord Villepinte, bringing together clients, architects, structural engineers and companies operating in the building industry, including approximately 3000 exhibitors and 400,000 buildings, the accessibility and user comfort of buildings, the city of tomorrow and technological aspects of buildings.

Two important exhibitions will be focusing on architecture, highlighting the skills exhibition presenting 50 emblematic buildings recently constructed in Grand Paris, and “Batimat Off”, 6 guided tours through the city illustrating 32 works of architecture in Grand Paris that are particularly interesting from the viewpoint of technical innovation, architectural quality, distributional layout and ecological innovation.
