Conceptual Sketch 01 Deriving Concept Based on Story
This is our first contact with concept. We are informed that each project and artwork we are developing should be derived from concepts that would eventually pave our way towards the end result.
In this case, we are to make up a short story. Based on the story, we construct our own conceptual sketch and later translate it into 3D concept model to better represent out story.
02 Narrow Squeak
My story is titled ‘Narrow Squeak’ as it is a short story recapping a narrow escape from a plane tragedy with the injection of sci-fi element. Therefore, my conceptual sketch represents a series of hardships before finally escaping the danger. The pointy triangles represents the characters while the squares represents the hardships. There are a lot of sharp geometry used to represent the danger.
