歸宿 (Guī sù) is another word for home.
The old grocery shop where they sell my favourite snacks; the old giant television, which requires a few 'slaps’ for it to work magically; the skillful watchmaker who repairs my Mickey Mouse
watch; the signature kopitiam where I have my breakfast with my grandpa; and the old vintage shophouse where I have my art tuition class; these are the bits and pieces of my childhood
in Kampar, the ex-tin mining town.Growing up as a kampung boy, I believe that many share a similar nostalgic childhood like mine. Hence, I hope with my design, people can finally
retrieve that long-lost sense of belonging. BE: LONGING reminds us of our longing for home, a place where we belonged.
