I designed complete book catalogues and sales flyers for a publishing house, creating both original layouts from scratch and refined pieces based on existing templates. My work balanced strong visual hierarchy, clear product storytelling, and production‑ready precision.

This project required creating story‑integrated graphics such as letters, chalkboards, and characterspecific handwriting. Each element needed to reflect the historical era of the narrative and the distinct voice of the character it belonged to—for example, developing a believable left‑handed script. I researched period-appropriate materials, including hotel stationery, advertisements, and telegrams, to ensure the visual pieces supported the authenticity of the story.

Okay, so here’s what happened today. I was in the library and the poetry guy came to see me. We talked for a bit and then he gave me his copy of The Sea and the Mirror, and then he kissed me! I know it doesn’t sound like it’s a big deal. It’s not as if I’ve never let a guy kiss me before, but when I said he was out of my league, I meant it. Honestly, it would have been less shocking if a Royal walked up to me on the street and kissed my hand. This is so frustrating. I finally met someone I’m into, and he’s completely off limits.

21 As promised, a package was delivered on Christmas Eve. Jessica found two gifts inside the box. One had a tag that read, “Open me before bedtime.” Kristen sat on the bed with her as she tore the red wrapping paper to uncover flannel Winnie the Pooh pyjamas. The cream-coloured set came with pants, a long-sleeved button-up top, and a snug cotton camisole. Jessica rubbed her cheek with the soft material and put the pyjamas on before unwrapping the second gift. The tag read, “Careful, it’s HOT!” in Dearest Jes Alexander’s writing. She finished reading, and before she could thank him and ask what gift he meant, he presented a long, silver box with a blue ribbon tied around it. “Alex? What is this?” “I’m not going to tell you.” He laid the gift in front of her and set his arms on the table. “You’ll have to open it.” It felt light in her hands, but there was a noticeable weight discrepancy on one side. Jessica pulled the corner of the bow and took the lid off. Inside was a purple velvet jewellery box. She plucked it out and used her thumbs to pop it open.
