Christmas Fashion with Ria Taylor

Ria Taylor helps to combat dress stress this Christmas!

Christmas is coming… and festive stress is something that’s sure to hit most of us at some point this December.

Along with last minute present buying and dwelling over the perfect Christmas lunch, there’s sorting out an outfit for that Christmas party. Busy social schedules at this time of year usually results in dress stress for us all, so I’m on hand with inspiration and a plan for that perfect Christmas outfit.

I recently had the pleasure visiting some of Deeping’s local stores to help me put together the perfect (and affordable!) party outfit. The classic little black dress is a staple wardrobe essential for all women, which is why I chose to use it as the base garment – an LBD is versatile, trusty and easy to accessorise. At Ruffles Dress Agency, I picked up this gorgeous black shift dress by Michaela Louisa London. The classic, simple silhouette is flattering for any figure and the pretty silver detailing around the neckline not only provides a bit of sparkle for Christmas, but timeless elegance. Once you’ve got your staple piece, it’s time to accessorise any way you want! I chose to keep the simplicity of black with these cut-out caged style heels from Dune which are still bang on trend for 2015, but brought in a vintage twist with a quirky floral evening bag. If that’s not for you, go for another versatile, neutral colour – nude. This pretty heel by Kurt Geiger pairs perfectly with this textured nude clutch bag, all found in Ruffles!

To tie it all together, Molly at Murano Silver helped me to pick out some stunning pieces to pair with my LBD. Sticking with the colour silver to go with the pretty neckline on the dress, I chose these Fiorelli earrings (priced at £25) and matching bracelet (£42). However, if you prefer to keep your jewellery simple rather than wearing large, statement pieces, this smaller bracelet and pretty ring are priced at £25 and are sure to add some festive shine to any outfit.
