The kneeling seat Cat. The kneeling version offers a more natural forward facing sitting position. The kneeling seats are permanently fitted atop of the flat topped main tubes and have thigh and knee straps plus foot / toe rests to assist being seated firmly on the Cat - you simply wedge yourself forward into the straps and ‘lock in’ with your toes on the small foot rests. The seats allow for full range of technical strokes and braces that C1 and C2 boaters are accustomed to. On a river, these Cats run as technical as hard-shell kayaks, and are very much at home on class 5 rapids.

Light and nimble. Kneeling seats allows for advanced paddle strokes - paddlers will be able to reach out further with the paddle, far more than any other type of raft. Main tubes are flat-topped. The kneeling style may require rests at intervals. EG stretch legs if unaccustomed to kneeling for long periods. With sufficient experience on this craft, river grades 4-5 can be mastered. The deck width by the knees is rather narrow, so if you are XXL and very tall, please discuss available options. Existing kneeling seat is comfortable for 2 paddlers weighing up to 225 lb each. Vector Series - top of the range kneeling seat catarafts. Similiar tube shape to the ConTouRCat Series but with integrated seating platforms and saddles. The platforms are lowered compared to ConTouR’s seating position on top of the main tubes, which allow for enhanced stability and protection for the paddlers in big water. The kneeling seats are permanently fitted atop of the main tubes and have adjustable thigh and knee straps and also toe supports. Paddlers are wedged forward and securely ‘locked in’ (connected to the boat) by using toe supports and straps – yet it takes only a split second to release the toes and bail out in case of emergency. Cataraft

Frameless cataraft VectoR-2 is designed for running most challenging white water rapids. Distinguished feature of VectoR-2 cataraft is its unique, sophisticated kneeling seats, also known as “saddles”. Seats are mounted on top of hi-pressure platforms integrated into the main tubes. Kneeling seats are very comfortable and allow for a great variety of technical strokes, making it possible for VectoR’s crew to execute difficult lines, normally accessible only for hard-shell boaters.

Saddles allow for full range of technical strokes and braces that C1 and C2 boaters are accustomed to. On a river, these Cats run as technical as hard-shell kayaks, and are very much at home on class 5 rapids. VectoR-2 is suitable for 2 paddlers. ConTouR Cats - our traditional “sit-on-top” series of catarafts Paddlers sit on top of the main tubes, anchoring both feet to the floor using foot straps or cups and optional thigh braces. Body position is slightly twisted, as common with river rafts. Having less bottom drag and thus, being faster and easier to handle than flat-bottom rafts, these Cats are ideal for long distance river touring. Raised central mesh floors with multiple D-rings provide ample space and attachment points for your camping gear.

Our Frameless Cataraft can be inflated in just 10 minutes and ready to navigate through any type of H20 surface, from calm to class 4 rapids. It is lightweight and durable. Available option: Compact Car. A lighter and more responsive compact Cat as compared to the ConTouR-2, has main tubes of smaller bags diameter and permanently welded one-piece mesh floor. There are 2 cross tubes, with a bit less space for gear. Additional gear however, can be attached with sets of D-rings on the main tubes. Igla-2 has all the typical great features of the IK: it is compact, very easy to carry and assemble, stable and safe on water. But Igla-2 brings a lot more to the table. It is not just light, but ultralight (weighs only 12kg, despite being over 5 meters long) and can be rolled to a smaller sized package than other boats of similar dimensions. It sounds incredible, but Igla-2 proved to be as speedy as framed or even plastic kayaks. Unlike other IK brands suitable for serious trips and expeditions, we designed the Igla-2 not as a self-bailing boat, as commonly done out of safety considerations, but as a displacement hull boat. This greatly improved the speed and load capacity. Plastic bow inserts were used to create vertical bow profile, further increasing speed, stability and punch-through power. And we did not forget about safety. We have found the breakthrough solution to match the safety solution of the self-bailing IK’s. What you have to do is simply unroll the kayak, pump it and it is possible to hit the trail. Each side consists of two separate longitudinal elements. This provides extra rigidity, better contours and greater internal volume of the kayak. Due to rather narrow sides, prominent bow and length, this kayak has high ride characteristics.

The bow in the kayak forms a classic nose shape that cuts the water, easily rises to the wave and helps keep the course. The course of kayaks also effectively stabilizes the U-shaped removable aluminium skeg, installed on the bottom of the boat. Kayak can be used like solo (for long-term journeys), or tandem kayak (with less loading of equipment).
