FOOTLOCKER MIDWEST REGIONAL CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS

Two Zeeland Christan students had the opportunity to participate in the Footlocker Midwest Regional Cross Country Championships. The meet took place in Kenosha, WI, over Thanksgiving break.

Landon Gerritsma and Jacob Nicely, along with nine Holland Christan students, took second place as a team in the Youth Race. The conditions were very muddy and cold. The boys decided to use athletic tape around their shoes so that they would not get pulled off in the mud.

The tape did the job and no one lost a shoe on the steep hills. The boys are looking forward to a promising season this fall and also would encourage more ZCS students to join the cross country team.
