Zangersheide Stallion s 2024

Almé Z, Ramiro Z, Carthago Z, Zandor Z, Levisto Z, … and today Taloubet Z, Aganix du Seigneur Z, Epleaser Z, Dominator Z… over the past decades Studfarm Zangersheide has always had the sires of their day in their stables. No hypes or fleeting one-day wonders, but the true sires who created a solid basis for the sport horse population worldwide. Sport stallions who were/are ahead of their times and stand out with their own remarkable achievements as well as remarkable siring qualities.
The influence of the 1966-born Almé Z is still highly relevant for contemporary showjumper sports. Think of Baloubet du Rouet daughter Dubai du Cedre, who takes victory in the Super Grand Prix of Prague in a masterly manner. Zandor Z is still represented in the highest echelons on a weekly basis by Unick du Francport and has produced the phenomenal Caracole de la Roque. But our current stars also provide GP winners every weekend, Cicero Z, Contagio Z, Epleaser Z, Taloubet Z, … all of them lift contemporary showjumper sports to a higher goal.
For Zangersheide that goal is crystal-clear; breeding honest showjumpers that have the qualities, rideability and capacity to progress to the world top. For over fifty years it has been the Zangersheide philosophy to select the best stud stallions and make them available to breeders. The catalogue is continually in evolution and our radar constantly switched on to enable us to add proven stars and young hopefuls. The first newcomer is quite a stunner! Dieu Merci van T&L Z is the very first Toulon son made available for stud services by Studfarm Zangersheide and promptly one of the greatest names in the world. Under Beth Underhill he won the 5*GP of La Baule in 2022 and this relatively young stud stallion is already father of several international sport horses, including the 1.60m jumping ‘Over The Top Van Den Haagakkers’ as well as countless international 1.50m horses.
Our second acquisition is the same age as Dieu Merci van T&L Z, so meet Olivier Philippaerts’ 1.70m jumping Extra Z! This Berlin son out of Heartbreaker has wins to his name such as the Nations Cup of Rome, the Nations Cup final of Barcelona, the Nations Cup of Calgary and the Global Champions League of Al Shaqab! For a stallion keeper it is a dream to be able to add 5* winners with a good pedigree and proven offspring to the catalogue.
Along with the proven sport stallions our stables are definitely also brimming with young and upcoming talents! After their approval in the winter of 22/23, Django Z, Nasdaq Z, Devil Z and Ambassador Z already found their way into the catalogue and have already served one stud season, for Dacantos Boy Z though, it’s all still very much a new experience. Christian was the first to spot him and no costs or efforts were spared to secure him. Even though he’s just a 7-year-old, we truly believe that he has what it takes to progress into a Grand Prix horse of outstanding class.
Our stallions as well as our office staff are all 100% ready to tackle a new breeding season. Personally, I’m convinced that our collection and conditions (most stallions fall under the ‘live foal guarantee’) are exceptionally strong and will make sure that this generation too will find their way into the Hall of Fame of phenomena like Almé Z and Taloubet Z.
To a fertile breeding season!

Our calling card!
The crowd puller of the catalogue and still our figurehead for the sport in the five-star tour. In recent years he excelled numerous times on a podium, to which his victories in the CSI5* Grands Prix of Stockholm, Doha and Hamburg bear witness. But precisely those podium places sometimes cause friction between the sport and breeding. Christian Ahlmann would preferably plan a full calendar for his prize-winning horse with appearances at the highest level the year round, while also leaving his mark on his offspring in breeding. There are not many stallions who are blessed with the gift to pass on the unique combination of capacity and blood, a test Dominator Z has passed with the best of distinctions!
His descendants catch the eye with the same specific qualities as their illustrious father: explosive take-off, power and bascule, and a virtually identical jumping technique characterised by the remarkably fast shoulder. Over fifty approved sons and nearly ten 7-year-olds at 1.45m level showcase that it’s merely a matter of time before Dominator Z’s offspring will tread in their father’s imposing footsteps.

Breeding, knowing that sport is guaranteed. Then Aganix du Seigneur Z can be placed top of your list with favourites. He passes his five-star Grand Prix experience on to his offspring who without exception, combine blood, sharpness and capacity. More than ten offspring from his first crop are advertising his assets for the sport at 1.60m Grand Prix level. Examples are Lillie Keenan and Agana van het Gerendal Z whose successes include the WC qualifier of Las Vegas, Agadance van ’t Gelutt Z who triumphed in New York Saugerties and Athletix Hero Z who came first in Tryon.
His strong siring qualities are also highlighted by an impressive number of approved sons. Across various studbooks, almost fifty direct Aganix du Seigneur Z sons have acquired a breeding permit. For the 2024 Stud farm Zangersheide stud season his name features as the sire of stallions such as Allroad Z, Ansingh de Lis Z and Ambassador Z. Is the next in line going to be born in your stables?

Epleaser Z is a stallion who removes any trace of doubt. Here foundation sire For Pleasure was paired to former 1.60m Grand Prix winner Valentina van ‘t Heike (Jos Lansink). Meanwhile the Epleaser Z offspring have taken over the five-star baton in tenfold. The examples speak for themselves; Kalinka van de Nachtegaele won the World Cup of Helsinki under Angelica Augustsson, Everest v’t Hof v Eversem Z was the best in Gorla Minore with Bryan Balsiger in the saddle and Melody vd Smidshoeve ridden by Gerfried Puck triumphed in the World Cup of Budapest.
Impressive results that produce impressive statistics. These show that 34% of his offspring stay clean at 1.60m Grand Prix level, which in almost 50% leads to placings. At 1.55m level we see even more impressive data, respectively 46% and 58%. So breeding with Epleaser Z offers certainty, both in the sport as well as in breeding the numbers speak for themselves.

The ideal wingman. When Christian Ahlmann goes on an international spree he can count on Solid Gold Z for the right chemistry. Thanks to his unsurpassed jumping qualities he can be mobilised on all fronts. A speed class, a qualifier or the five-star Grand Prix, he is the multitasker who can bring out the best in himself and others. His amazing roll of honour boasts prizes such as the Grands Prix of Brussels, Abu Dhabi and Opglabbeek as well as victories in Riyadh, Rome, Aachen, Leipzig and London.
Meanwhile his first descendants are 8-year-olds and are reporting for active service in the international scene. Servus Z secured several wins at the WEF under Tony Stormanns, his daughter Solid’s Girl WP Z with Finja Borman in the saddle collected placings in nine of her international appearances and Showoff AF Z, a reference of Ashford Farm, already scored four international victories in the past season. Solid Gold Z is known to pass on his winner’s mentality, mindset and reflexes. He also adds sharpness, technique and athletic capacity. In short, the ideal choice if you’re aiming for gold.

Taloubet Z
His farewell was completely true to form and is etched in everyone’s memory. It was the 21st of January 2018 when Taloubet Z cantered into the international arena for the very last time. It was a farewell in his very own unique way: by winning, when the pressure is at its peak.
That final victory in the World Cup of Leipzig marked the end of an imposing sport career. An amazing three times he won the World Cup in Leipzig, including the 2011 World Cup Final. This victory takes pride of place on his mantelpiece among his other impressive memorabilia, together with an Olympic Bronze medal from Rio de Janeiro and World Cup wins in Stuttgart, Mechelen and Madrid. The numbers are extraordinary: 105 five-star starts, 45 World Cups, 26 international victories and 9 championships. And unparalleled prize-moneys of more than two million.
In the sport he was lavished with praise for his intelligence, motor, power and brains. In breeding he is the perfect balance between sharpness and smartness. Look at the 1.60m qualified Aloubet KV, Taloubetdarco K Z, Tabalou PS and the Zangersheide stallion Take a Chance on Me Z. Everyone will realise that Taloubet Z will stand the test of time via his offspring.

Not just your everyday sort of stallion but a personality. A stallion who, in addition to his colourful touch, can also pass on the so desirable international five-star background. First of all there’s his granddam Carlaya Z who excelled at 1.50 – 1.60m Grand Prix level under Judy Ann Melchior and who provided Caribis Z with a solid Grand Prix basis. His dam Canasta Z also jumped at the highest level with riders such as Lauren Hough and Paris Sellon.
Before Caribis Z had a chance to tread in her footsteps she was already winning international classes in Wellington, Wiener Neustadt, Linz and Knokke. The striking Caritano Z son is now doing the honours with wins in for instance the five-star Grands Prix of St. Tropez, Hong Kong and the World Cup of Leipzig.
In breeding his first crop is going to put in an appearance in the sport next year and the first signs look very promising. They show the balance and jumping technique of their sire who, along with his aptitude for the sport, also makes his mark with his arresting colour and characteristic eye.

Faster, trickier and more challenging. In the past few years the courses have gone through a steep evolution, requiring a harmonious type of athlete. The top sport horse of today needs the ability to think along, anticipate and switch gears, assets Comilfo Plus Z and his descendants have already demonstrated to have.
Those offspring have found their place within the established order. Under Kent Farrington the 11-year-old Landon (ex Crack de Nyze Z) is blossoming into a phenomenon. In 2023 he won for instance the five-star Grands Prix of San Miguel and Calgary and continued his spree by securing Team Gold and Individual Silver at the Pan American Games. A career which is still very much in its initial stages. Following in his shadow at 1.50m level are Cordis Totalis Z with Niels Tacken, Comanchero de Poteau Z under Gilles Dunon, Carma Z ridden by Zoe Brown and Chapeau PS Z with Luis Pedro Biraben in the saddle.
That makes Comilfo Plus Z future-proof. Anyone looking for intelligence, jumping style, blood, light-footedness and balance simply cannot ignore him.

Diva van het Cauterhof Z (Martin Fuchs), Okinawa van de Meerhoeve (Benjamin Pieters), Kos (Jean Luc Mourier) and Ona van ‘t Veldeken (Elisa Strubbe). This is merely a small selection of the Dieu Merci van T&L Z offspring who have all progressed to four- and five-star Grand Prix. Amazing performances considering they all stem from the first two year collections (2014 – 2015) of this Toulon son.
His own career in the sport is no less amazing. Under Frederic Vernaet’s saddle he claimed victory in the Grand Prix of Beervelde in 2019, after which he continued his career with rider Eric Lamaze who steered him to a third place in the Global of Doha. When Beth Underhill took over the reins Dieu Merci van T&L Z kept scoring, with wins like for instance in the Grand Prix of La Baule.
Being a brother of the 1.45m classified stallion Quincerot van T&L and the 1.45m jumping Numeriek van T&L, his close relations also prove to achieve international sport performances that provide confirmation for breeders.
So Dieu Merci van T&L Z has already proven to pass on his exemplary technique, mentality and capacity. His offspring are without exception easy to ride and popular with all types of riders.
This saying fits Utamaro d’Ecaussines Z like a riding glove. Joe Clee, William Whitaker and Niels Bruynseels are the threesome who competed him at fivestar level and under all three riders he passed the test with flying colours. Utamaro came top of the leader board in for instance La Baule, Paris, Liège, Lummen, London and Rotterdam. Moreover, he represented the UK at the WEG in Tryon.
Successful at Grand Prix level in the sport, but for breeding he remained unavailable. His performances in the sport took priority and considering his roll of honour, that was the right choice. However, his first crop of foals saw the light of day in 2022 and this year collection, brimming with eyecatchers, is characterised by uniformity. They demonstrate balance, capacity for transitions and attractive fronts, which is how he will make his mark in breeding. So with this in mind, there’s no need to think three times about choosing Utamaro d’Ecaussines Z.

With twenty offspring at 1.50m and 1.60m Contagio Z has worked his way up to the status of top sire. He leaves his mark with offspring that show common sense, intelligence and mentality, with offspring the likes of Best Boy with Henrik von Eckermann, Coby 8 under Philip Weishaupt and Contagious partnered to McLain Ward shining at five-star level. Recent credentials at the ’23 Pan America Games too where the last-mentioned duo grabbed Team Gold as well as the Individual Bronze medal. Their total sum in prize-moneys has cleared the one million mark and this way they are edging closer to the success combination of Coby 8 and Philip Weishaupt, whose 22 international victories have already earned them over 1.6 million Euros.
Contagio Z himself also enjoyed a long and glorious career and with Gerrit Nieberg in the saddle can boast victory in for instance the Grands Prix of Frankfurt, Nörten-Hardenberg and Cagnes-sur-Mer.
If you want to go for proven marks, rideability and mentality right through to the highest level? Then it’s a matter of go go go for Contagio Z.
Best Boy 2
No easy feat. Siring limited year collections of offspring, working yourself up to a reputable five-star winner under top-class riders such as Michel Robert, Grégory Wathelet and Quentin Judge and after a few years being in a position to conclude that the youngsters have already in great numbers taken over the baton.
HH Conrad Z’s statistics are impressive, first of all his own personal roll of honour with the Global Champions Tour of Chantilly, the Nations Cups of St. Gallen and Aachen as well as a victory in the Nations Cup final of Barcelona 2015 taking pride of place.
From those first year collections more than twenty horses jump at 1.50m –1.60m Grand Prix level, among them Claptonn Mouche ridden by Petronella Andersson, Nicholas Dello Joio’s Grand Prix winner Blueberry and Bertram Allen’s mount Edison de Hus who won this year’s CSI4* Grand Prix of Gijon.
Not only does HH Conrad Z pass on his sport aptitude, mentality and rideability, he also enriches his offspring by adding a touch of class and nobleness.

Scope gives hope and if there’s one quality in which Jenson van ‘t Meulenhof Z excels, it’s his capacity. During his brilliant career his power and strength were controlled by Niels Bruynseels, who steered him, among other achievements, to a second place in the Nations Cup final of Barcelona.
Stallion Jenson van ‘t Meulenhof Z harks back to a pure performance line. His dam Narcotique de Muze IV, granddam Qerly Chin as well as 3rd dam Kerly all acted at Grand Prix level. Which is pretty unique and Jenson van ’t Meulenhof Z, brother of nine international showjumpers, is himself a fine example.
These pure showjumper genes prove to be very effective. Otto de Kalvarie (Riccardo Pisani), No Comment de Septon (Alica Lazzarini) and Inoui du Seigneur (Rik Hemeryck) aren’t even nine years old but all of them have clocked placings at 1.55m level. Which goes to show that Jenson van ‘t Meulenhof Z is exerting his influence.

The ‘Roosakkers’ enjoy world-wide acclaim at international events, auctions and stallion inspections. Large numbers of them frequent competitions, are bombarded to auction stars because of their lineage and expectations in the sport, and convince at stallion inspections thanks to their papers, model and jumping style.
The latter is showcased by Kassander van ‘t Roosakker Z, who true to the Roosakker recipe was bred out of a Grand Prix mare. This mare has her origin in a (grand)dam who herself jumped in the highest echelon of the sport, the last one being the 1.50m qualified Usha van ‘t Roosakker. Dam of for instance 1.60m Grand Prix winners Cella with Ben Maher, Babbe van ‘t Roosakker under Michel Hecart’s saddle, Equador van ’t Roosakker with Kevin Staut and Emperio van ‘t Roosakker under Emanuele Camilli and Atoucha van ‘t Roosakker. Atoucha in turn is dam of the 1.60m winner Electra van ’t Roosakker who jumped at Grand Prix level with Jos Lansink. The Electra offspring include the multiple 1.60m winner Kaprice with Kent Farrington, Horpleasure van ‘t Roosakker under Manon Hebette and of course top stallion Kassander van ‘t Roosakker Z.
In breeding the Kassander van ‘t Roosakker Z offspring stand out with their size, length and capacity. Each of them have that powerful gallop, which isn’t so surprising considering his lineage and the result of years of selective breeding for international performances. Kassander van ’t Roosakker Z is the creation of a masterpiece and you have the opportunity to capitalise on that.

Some stallions have the edge, especially when we know the pedigree or dam through and through, which we do in the case of the athletic Allroad Z. His sire Aganix du Seigneur Z is one of our top stallions and was paired to the dam of Dominator Z. All the signs are saying that we have found a successor, this time clad in white. Allroad Z is a very athletic stallion who convinced right from his first jumps.
Meanwhile at the age of six he holds his own among his contemporaries with Angelique Rüsen, who knows how to capitalise on his jumping qualities. He demonstrates the same unlimited capacity as his illustrious brother and always quickly jumps away from the wood. Allroad Z is a great adept at switching gears and commands the same characteristic explosiveness and power his dam Cephale passes on to her offspring.
Really, we have only one thing to say to the breeders who dare give youngsters a chance while at the same time opting for the security of a proven dam(line): he has our full confidence!

The offspring of our stallions deserve extra attention and especially so when they jump themselves into the picture like the Ansingh de Lis Z offspring do. A son of Aganix du Seigneur Z with great prospects, we secured him for our Stud farm in 2022 and he is still living up to those expectations.
With Christian Ahlmann in the saddle, the 7-year-old Ansingh de Lis Z has so far treated us to nothing but fault free rounds in his first international appearances. In the coming years he’ll get the time he needs to bring his qualities to maximum fruition. Christian Ahlmann has pointed out that he feels this stallion has the potential to progress into a real star.
In that case he will be in good company when looking at some of his close relatives. Dam Isabella de Lis is the sister of the 1.60m showjumpers Uppie de Lis (Haylay Waters) and Willink who, a duo with Henk van de Pol, wrote the Grands Prix of Drammen, Asten and Gijon to his name.
Ansingh de Lis Z is a high-legged, blood-bred stallion who combines fantastic technique with speed and capacity. At this age we’ll give him plenty of time and when he shines in the international spotlights some time down the line, you have timely made sure to be in on the game ahead of the hype.

The finest? No doubt that has to be the one in Aachen. The Mecca of horse sports and the only Grand Prix victory that is circled in gold in everyone’s book of dreams. Thanks to Codex One Z this dream came true for Christian Ahlmann in 2014. A success year when he also won the Global of Valkenswaard, followed by wins in Stuttgart, Basel and Berlin.
In the case of Codex One Z the number one has a golden overtone which spells nothing but the best for breeding. Modern courses require intelligence, reactive- and athletic ability – which are exactly Codex One Z’s assets. Curious George under Laura Kraut is the epitome of 1.65m Grand Prix level and proof that he passes on these assets. I’m Codex, Codexoon and Camilla 163 are prominently pushing the international boundaries at 1.50m level.

Colorit Z is a stallion who always knew how to move people. First of all when entering the arena with his gorgeous looks in combination with such a remarkable colour scheme. But also with his sport performances and victories like the World Cups of Den Bosch, Hagen, Mannheim and Munich under the saddles of David Will and Christian Ahlmann.
He also puts up a good show in breeding with several horses at 1.50m and 1.60m Grand Prix level. There is for instance Concordia who jumped to the top spot in the Grand Prix of Wiesbaden under David Will, Carlson 86 with Lorenzo de Luca ending up in front in the Grand Prix of Lier and with a second place in the main event of Munster. David Will’s Coolio is well on course to a place in the established top too.
In addition to a fine gallop, good jumping manners and a comfortable balance, his descendants definitely have one thing in common: they are adored the world over and lavished with praise for their unconditional commitment. That fact makes Colorit Z a reliable choice in this catalogue.

A few years back father Dacantos was auctioned at a sport horse auction for the record sum of € 950,000. These days he successfully competes at 1.50m GP level under the saddle of British Holly Smith. In this case, the former auction star was paired to the full sister of the 1.45m classified Bipeggio (Shane Dwan). A mare who earlier, in combination with Aktion Pur Z, brought A Coruña who aged seven, is active in 1.45m classes with Marie Schulze Topphoff in the saddle.
When Christian Ahlmann spotted him as a 5-year-old it was not so easy to come to a deal. He impressed at the Bundeschampionat with Tobias Thoenes holding the reins and in spite of doggedly persisting, a transfer didn’t come about until last summer. With this, Christian Ahlmann has assured himself of a future Grand Prix trump and breeders get a chance to jump on the bandwagon and use him for breeding. Dacantos Boy Z stands for variation in blood and is expected to improve length, leg conformation and capacity. A complete stallion and a factor to reckon with, who will be given all the opportunities to develop his talents.
Having sung our praise about his Grand Prix potential, it’s now up to you to make up your own mind, but in the Ahlmann yard they already did that quite some time ago!

Knowing that he is a son of former World Champion Berlin (Aachen 2006, Gerco Schröder) explains his capacity and power, whereas his Heartbreaker dam has distinguished herself multiple times in breeding. The first Extra Z offspring display the desirable showjumper qualities and commitment that we may expect on the basis of his list of achievements and genetics. Extreme van de Kattevennen Z jumped to placings in the 1.45m circuit under Charlotte Jacobs and Exco van de Kattevennen Z recently made his first international meters with Jérôme Guery holding the reins. During his sport career Asca Z had this invincible edge, when he entered everyone felt something was about to happen. It’s a feeling shared by Judy Ann Melchior, Christian Ahlmann and Franz-Josef Dahlmann who all rode him to victories in Spruce Meadows, Basel and Mechelen.
By now his offspring have overtaken him in terms of career and represent him in large numbers at four- and five-star levels. Armani SL (Eugenio Garza Perez), Bacara d’Archonfosse (Alberto Michan), Ascatano Z (Kim Emmen), Aragon Z (Jay Halim), Almeria Z (Timothee Anciaume) and Ascalan Z (Max Kühner) can frequently be seen in action at 1.60m level. From the year collection after them up-and-coming talents like Amadeo van t Vossenhof Z (Frederik Vernaet) and Armani E.A. Z (Giulia Picotto) make a strong impression.
Most of them are high-legged and high-blooded types with elevated fronts. Over the fence they combine mentality, alertness and capacity with a hardworking attitude. This makes Asca Z a worthy option to go for!

Do you know that feeling? Butterflies in your stomach and goose bumps on your arm? That’s the exact feeling Brunetti Z created as a young horse. His jumping created a stir. His sporty, athletic body arched over the fence with so much force and looseness that, also based on his explosive take-off and unlimited potential, people predicted a great future for him.
We now know that an unforeseen injury unfortunately called a premature end to his sport career so that his roll of honour never exceeded the 1.40m level. But what we do know is that Brunetti Z is offering you a chance. When the sport took priority it wasn’t always easy to use him but those who did, promptly reaped the rewards. His first offspring are good-looking, attractive horses. They are high-legged, high-blooded types with the same elevation, bascule and take-off as their sire, and on top of that they are modern and easy rides too.
With that he is a credit to his family. As brother of several 1.40m classified showjumpers and cousin to Ferrari III who saw action at 1.60m under Steve Guerdat as well as to the 1.50m classified Balous Diamond (Gavin Moylan), expectations rise even higher. Some opportunities are there for the taking, and this certainly is a candidate if you are looking for blood, high-leggedness and size.

In breeding it’s the hope of matching combinations that looms large. The hope it all falls into place like pieces of a jigsaw and sparks a chemistry that in the long run produces the ability to turn the most taxing classes to advantage.
Chemistry like there is between Judy Ann Melchior’s former Grand Prix mare Cha Cha Z and the athletic top-class sire Comilfo Plus Z. Dam Cha Cha Z herself can boast victories such as a Bronze medal at the World Equestrian Games of Kentucky and front places at the Nations Cup competitions of Gijon and Falsterbo.
Count on Me Z was bred on precisely that proven basis in the sport. A pure athlete who commands all positive showjumper features in that very athletic body. With Robinson Maupiler in the saddle he combines an explosive take-off with perfect jumping manners and his athletic capability most likely gives him that final push towards top sports.
When using him on a generously developed mare in order to add reflexes, athletic capacity and jumping style, then Count on Me Z may very well prove to be that one missing link in your breeding.

BALOU
It took some effort but we are happy we have been able to secure him for you at our ‘The Zangersheide International’ stallion auction of February 2023. Now we are eagerly looking forward to the development of a top stallion in the making. Over every jump this direct son of our Dominator Z convinced with his strength, might and power, in our opinion demonstrating to have unlimited capacity.
We were not just unanimously waxing lyrical about his jumping ways, his papers also were a decisive factor. Dam China Touch Hero is also the dam of Sea Coast Don’t Touch Tiji Hero, sire of our Dourkhan Hero Z. She also gave the Grand Prix horses Akarad Hero Z, Esprit de la Roque, Jaguar de Tiji and Diamond Touch.
Further down the line we find the famous granddam Laska III. She produced three 1.60m Grand Prix horses, including Gracieux du Pachis who wrote several Grands Prix to his name with Julien Epaillard.
With Devil Z we can offer you a modern, sharp athlete. A stallion who convinces with his light-footedness, elasticity and enormous reactive capacity for transitions.

Occasionally a stallion crosses your path that triggers the hope that his pedigree is going to assert itself and Toèmme de Regor Z certainly falls in that category.
Dam Centa de Muze is a household name in breeding. With Walloon de Muze, Querly Chin and Kerly the 1.60m Grand Prix genes in her pedigree have piled up, something that clearly has an impact. Centa de Muze is known as the dam of eight international offspring active at a minimum of 1.45m. Hickstead Nations Cup winner Freestyle de Muze (Richie Moloney) and Horizon de Regor (Pieter Clemens) do the honours in the highest echelons at 1.60m Grand Prix level. Also successful in the 1.50m circuit are her offspring Ohaj-, Kerly-, Melia- and Inri de Regor. They are all brothers and sisters of Toèmme de Regor Z, who himself carries the direct performance blood of Chacco Blue.
Next year he will venture out to make his appearance in the sport and the people behind the scenes are looking forward to that with confidence. Toèmme de Regor Z stands out with his personality; a youthful rubber ball who combines an extremely good shoulder with fast reflexes and a technique by the book.
Talking about the book, you now have the opportunity to add your own chapter to it.

The equestrian data base struggles to list the accomplishments of this international pedigree on one screen. While Horsetelex turns blazing red and the black-types of Hippomundo are working overtime, Ambassador Z apparently remains blissfully unaffected by all that. He basically does exactly what he was bred for: jumping fiercely. With an ultra-intelligent overview he gauges every fence, catching the eye with his take-off, bascule and phenomenal style of clearing fences. Thrown into the bargain he has superb balance in his gallop and a fantastic ability to switch gears over the jump.
Ambassador Z was bred out of Quasibelle du Seigneur who, thanks to her international offspring, can lay claim to be one of the best-known broodmares in the world. Nine of her direct descendants jump minimally at 1.45m. Her offspring include the 1.65m classified Oak Grove’s Heartfelt (Rolf-Göran Bengtsson, Harm Lahde), the 1.60m jumping Arac du Seigneur Z and the 1.50m showjumpers Extra Belle d’Ick, Dragibus d’Ick and Vivald’Ick.
Thanks to Ambassador Z we are in a position to offer you an Aganix du Seigneur Z son with a fantastic jumping reputation. Directly from a world-famous, internationally acclaimed foundation dam.

Some horses instantly conjure up semblances and in that respect there was no way Django Z could belie his parentage. Which is a good thing, because being the son of Christian Ahlmann’s horse of the future Dourkhan Hero Z, interest piqued from the word go.
His characteristic jumping style shows bascule, use of the back, take-off and a magnificent way of clearing fences. It took some effort to finally get him to our Studfarm via the auction in Mechelen, but seeing him on the job here causes us pleasure every day. We are going to give Django Z plenty of time to develop his talents and he is currently being groomed for his first public appearances under saddle. What we see at this stage makes him the spitting image of his father, both in looks and model as well as in style. For such a youthful talent he already makes a pretty mature impression. Anything he learns today can be elaborated on tomorrow.
He has such a characteristic jumping technique, always balanced and with upward withers, constantly keeping a perfect balance when continuing his round. An exemplary stallion who age-wise still looks up to his father, but who has the qualities to tread in his footsteps when he grows older.

Two blue eyes, a blaze all across his face and a spectacular white spot on his belly. Horses with colouring that’s more unusual than Nasdaq Z’s are far and few between.
By the way, he doesn’t just draw attention with his looks, but fortunately too with his jumping ways. Athletic and sensible, with enormous power and fantastic hindquarters. Like you, we were just as keen to see his first jumps under saddle and that even more fired our enthusiasm. He also impresses under the rider, with his flashy style of jumping away from the pole and a natural, inborn helicopter view. The same asset ascribed to his sire Nixon van ’t Meulenhof, who as a half brother of for example Emerald van ‘t Ruytershof, comes from a strong dam line. Nixon van ’t Meulenhof is still in the race for a ticket to the Olympics with rider Jos Verlooy.
With the same enthusiasm we are now embarking on our journey with Nasdaq Z, hoping that he will become the next in line!

The mare to be inseminated has to be identified to Stud farm Zangersheide. Single (free) registration of the mare will be realised by providing Stud farm Zangersheide with a clear photocopy of the mare’s ancestry papers. For mares already registered with Studbook Zangersheide no further registration is needed.
The breeding season runs from the 19th of February to the 1st of September 2024.
1. Semen from stallions stationed at Stud farm Zangersheide is available as fresh semen. Semen can either be collected or dispatched. In case fresh semen is not available we will, after consultation, dispatch frozen semen (while stock lasts).
2. Per mare, semen is supplied for a maximum of three cycles. If the mare is still not pregnant after three cycles, another stallion must be chosen without having to pay a new deposit, provided this is a stallion with a similar stud fee. In case the fee is higher the difference will be payable. In case a stallion from a lower fee is chosen, reimbursement of the difference in purchase price will not be possible.
3. A dose of fresh- or frozen semen for a next cycle can only be obtained after payment of the potential purchase price.
4. The mare owner must return the last insemination certificate and/or nongestation statement within 90 days after the last insemination, stating thereby whether the mare is pregnant or not.
Non-gestation statements can only be provided by veterinarians. If the breeder fails to report that the mare is not pregnant, the gestation charge will automatically be invoiced. This also applies to the ‘Breed now, pay in 2025’ construction.
5. Payment of stud fees.
Purchase/gestation constructions:
Stud fees have to be paid as follows:
- purchase price is paid on first insemination;
- the gestation charge is payable in case the mare is pregnant at 90 days after the last insemination;
The gestation charge = stud fee of last-chosen stallion.
‘Breed now, pay in 2025’
For the ‘Breed now, pay in 2025’ proviso, we will send an invoice of € 125.00 after your first order, which is the reservation charge. The reservation charge will be deducted from the total sum of stud fees in the case of a living foal. The reservation charge is not refundable in the case of no living foal. You will receive the invoice for the stud fee on the 1st day of the month of the expected birth of the foal. This invoice has to be paid at the latest 48 hours after birth of the foal.
6. On ordering and buying semen the mare owner declares to have taken notice of these conditions and declares to fully agree with these stud- and payment conditions as well as the stud fees.
The mare owner has to return the last insemination certificate to the Stud farm Zangersheide office in Lanaken (BE), stating the date of the last insemination.
If the mare is in foal then on request and after payment of the gestation charge, the mare owner will receive a stud service certificate/birth notification which states the last insemination date. For foals that are registered with Studbook Zangersheide vzw no stud service certificate is required.
For frozen semen please get in touch with our office via studbook@ zangersheide.com.
Special conditions apply to ICSI treatment of egg cells with frozen semen from our stallions. ICSI procedures may only take place in the facilities of any of the following stations: Avantea (Italy), Hurkmans ET(Netherlands), Equiception (Netherlands), UGent (Belgium).
Permission for the use of frozen semen for one session will be given after Stud farm Zangersheide NV has received a fully completed and signed contract and only after payment of the invoice for this session. The contract can always be requested, free of obligation, at our secretarial office via studbook@ zangersheide.com.
Semen will at all times remain the property of Stud farm Zangersheide NV and be stored at one of our stations.
No surcharge will be required based on the number of produced embryos. No claims for compensation are possible in case no embryos are produced.
The stallions that are available for ICSI, as well as their rates, can be found on our website.
In case the owner wants to present the mare for embryo flushing, this must be communicated to Stud farm Zangersheide at the time of the first semen order.
If no embryo(s) is (are) found, new semen (for a maximum of 3 cycles) can be ordered for this mare; provided that a veterinary declaration from the relevant embryo centre is submitted which confirms that the embryo flush from the previous insemination turned out negative. For orders of a fourth cycle a new advance will be payable. In case the embryo flush turns out positive, a new advance will be invoiced for a next semen order for this mare.
In case multiple embryos are flushed from one insemination, the advance payment will as yet be invoiced afterwards.
The gestation charge shall become payable per successfully transferred embryo in case the surrogate mare is proven pregnant at 90 days. Please note: The mare owner is held to provide Stud farm Zangersheide with an overview, drawn up and signed by the veterinarian or embryo transplantation centre, of the number of flushes and the number of (successfully) transplanted embryos per mare. In case transplantation of the embryo was not successful, this overview will count as a non-gestation statement.
Stud fees will be invoiced per successful embryo, this also applies to frozen embryos and in case several embryos are flushed from one insemination.
In all cases this has to be communicated to Stud farm Zangersheide.
