Founded by Scott Zeiger (Cirque Du Soleil) and Brian Becker (Clear Channel Entertainment), BASE produces and manages some of Las Vegas’s most ambitious spectacles and gamechanging experiences across the globe. Recent Productions include Absinthe, Magic Mike Live, Phantom of the Opera: The Las Vegas Spectacular, and Stomp Out Loud.

Broadway General Manager Carl Pasbjerg was kind enough to recommend me as a replacement GM for their flagship property, Criss Angel: MINDFREAK.

MINDFREAK was in a period of flux – new ownership, new illusions, and a brand new venue at Planet Hollywood. These changes were swift, which allowed the show to keep its momentum with audiences, but left little time to anticipate financial impact. I wrangled teams from Criss’s inner circle, BASE, and Caesars Entertainment to bring the show’s numbers within target margins (cutting costs 33%).

BASE’s CEO and COO quickly identified me as a resource for vetting production opportunities, gut-checking plans for branded immersive experiences, touring shows, and their spin-off BASE Hologram offering.

Highlights

• Identified and redistributed $411k in over-accrued budget lines, ensuring recoupment for MINDFREAK investors.

• Built out the business model for Thomas John: Celebrity Psychic Medium at Cleopatra’s Barge.

• Assisted in the transfer of Magic Mike Live from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino to the New Sahara.
